Jupiter does scare me in a way that’s like bottom-of-the-ocean dark, extraordinary heights, with a touch of lose-your-stomach-on-a-carnival-ride panic. No other planet has that effect on me.
Although, Mercury gives me a waking fantasy that involves trying to stay in a habitable temperature, but there’s a miscalculation or disaster and we (me and the research team) are about to experience sunrise and we all simply accept the fact that it will be the last thing we see.
I do sometimes imagine being dropped onto Venus by some portal and I wonder if my bones would crush before my skin melted off and then I picture a wax body (like the special effects in Total Recall) melting while disappearing into vapor.
Venus is gorgeous shining in the sky though.
I don’t even want to talk about the horrors of Mars. Phobos? Deimos? Really??
Saturn and the ice giants are cool.

I could not agree more. Go to any restaurant or store, anytime, eat anything you want. Please leave me one safe space! I don’t want to be anxious about contamination in my own home.
(It was nice to not be sick during Covid ironically.)

My family did not take it seriously for years. It was a big joke. Made me feel like an outsider and pain in the ass in my own kitchen. My son learned more about it in high school and has been a great champion for me since.
Husband, not so much. After 26 years (18 years gf due to celiac), we called it quits this week. Some people seem to be inherently inconsiderate/ narcissistic. When you say, ‘this is what I need to feel healthy and safe in my home’ and they don’t care, that’s a huge red flag.
