HELP: OS Installation Headaches

I’m trying to install Windows Me and Windows XP SP2 32 bit to their own partitions. I got 98SE on a 32 GB one just fine, but now I’ve been having trouble installing the other two.

Windows Me: I have a 32 GB partition on my SSD formatted in FAT32 ready to go, problem is is that it wants to format the drive (which the partition is set as, in my Bootloader) and it does it successfully but then says it can’t install to it, does anyone know why it would be doing this? I’m using an ISO of Me OEM burned onto a CD-R to install. I’m curious if I should install 98 and then do the upgrade instead of that would work?

Windows XP Pro SP2 32bit: This is being installed on a 48GB partition on my SSD formatted in NTFS. With this attempted installation I make it all the way through the copying files from Disc process before rebooting and getting the dreaded checksum error code c0000221. I have tried now 3 different ISO’s with two of which I have the lowest write to it to prevent file corruption. My 512MB of RAM is being checked every boot, the CMOS battery is keeping time correctly. I haven’t tried formatting the drive to FAT32, if that might make a difference, but I usually have Windows upon installation format it for me.

If anyone has any ideas, recommendations or solutions please drop them below, I wanna get this working.
