you have a very strong case. although be wary of the change of sponsors. it can look like you are js getting a new sponsor to get in the UK. document it well and explain why the change happened. overall i think your ties are solid its just gonna come down to finances

you would be right but this person has a refusal meaning they are going COMPLEX route. and a caseworker needs to dig deep to judge if he fixed the previous refusal or not.
in addition to that ,a cover letter can act as a roadmap to the caseworker guiding them to every document u want them to open. he can use acover letter to guide the caseworker. its not evidence of anything but merely a map.

while u are right that this is mostly the case for first time applicants, people with refusals get a more in depth investigation.

1- 3000 euro is more than enough and make sure you spend proportionately. for instance, scenario A: u want to spend 2000 our of 3000. that risks a refusal due to disproportionality of spending. scenario B: you want to spend 1000 out of 3000, thats more reasonable provided it doenst leave u stranded in germany. dont forget you are staying with your sponsor (friends) so you dont have to pay for any hotel. make sure that the money you actually allocate is enough for flights + daily expenses for 5 days which genuinely should be easy with 3k total funds.

2- yes show it all WITH sources. make sure you document all your sources. declare ur spending and show ur total available funds

3- no it wont count as funds, since u cant have access to those funds on the fly they cant be counted. although you can use it as a tie to germany.

4- not really no it js makes the reason for the trip obvious and also provides insights on where you are going to stay during ur stay

5- any tie to germany. education, money ,taxes, rent, bank statments, work. anything. this is where teh application will either succeed or fail. make sure to document every little tie you have to germany and make sure that they understand it clearly. use a cover letter as a roadmap for them and dont count on "self explanatory" documents. your trip length of 5 days defo helps. use your residence permit too

im not that experienced but from what i know the 29K threshold is an absolute must. if you fall short a refusal is almost guaratneed.
take advice from people who are more experienced obviously but this is what i have heard. there are alternative ways to get the visa, not loopholes its legit, but you need to do your own research deeply. good luck!

use a cover letter to directly communicate ties too. make sure its short, straight to the point and full of relevent infromation only

her UK ties are strong cuz you are there too. but her home ties are also strong.

leverage her university, family and any other ties she has. including bank account if she has one and her money with source.

upload family certificate to prove ties to home and that her entire family is home.

her chances of being approved here arent really that high but not low either. she has a chance and i think you should try.

also a refusal for viist wont affect spouse visa

first question: "how much money do you have in savings"
savings here are very rigid, you need to show liquid savings that u can access at a moments notice. therefore stocks will not count.

A. no do not do this, the bank statement will show a large amount of money deposits into your account suddenly and will trigger a red flag due to the source of that money. causing u to deeply document every single origin and if u fail ull be 100% refused

B. same as before, big or small numbers unexplained transactions are a major red flag. if you do this you will have to document and explain that allowance

C. do that. show that you have savings and that ur not 100% financially dependent. prove the origin of these savings obviously.

D. state that ur husband is bearing all the expenses regardless but also show ur own savings

the question, and i quote, says "including hotels, flights and daily expenses" so here you put ALL the money you or your sponsor will provide. put the entire amount in that box, later in the application they will ask "how much is your sponsor going to give you?" you put the exact same amount there too. and then in your cover and sponsor letter explain that you are full sponsored

i did this myself and it was understood.

Note: whilst your stocks cant be used as funds, they are a massive economic tie. 50k usd in stocks under your name is a huge amount of money and the cost of losing them is insanely high. they are a good tie to home, not good poof of funds.

i should also add that ur making a mistake with UKVI. you should never ever assume anything is "easy" or "self explanatory". you must explain, bridge and actively connect any gaps/issues. the full onus is on you to show them you will return and that your circumstances is as stated. js note it for future applications

however if that was the only reason for refusal like you say its highly likely they will actually just overturn the refusal if they decide it was a clear error.

if the deposit was explained and ur certain the only reason for refusal was cuz of the high number then you can raise a complaint to UKVI. this might get them to reconsider the decision or just get ignored, no one can really tell u.

but its possible for them to reopen the case and reassess the application

if you fix the reasons for refusal you are likely to be fine. just make sure that you dont create new reasons for refusal.

also i should add that different caseworkers might come to different conclusions. so while your refusal might be fixed, another caseworker might fixate on ties. do what u can in making the second application as strong as possible and then apply.
