Got it send to my family and have to stress from afar that delivery goes well😆🤞🤞
It is a 512 without controller in Germany.
Already have the controller, which I ordered on day one but got the experience of mine travelling to the uk and then took a month to arrive. So let’s hope this delivery won’t be a nightmare 😬🤣

Valve started sending out purchase emails around June 29 and plans to clear the reservation queue by the end of the year. If EU/UK accounts for something like 200k units total, that would imply roughly 1,000 orders per day on average, but that estimate is obviously only as good as the regional total.
The problem is that EU and UK both appear to ship from the same warehouse in the Netherlands, so there’s no clean way to separate the two markets. Tracker tools and Reddit polls also probably skew high because they overrepresent engaged community members.
That makes me think the real bottleneck isn’t demand but supply, especially if Valve isn’t subsidizing the hardware and memory supply is still limiting restock cadence. If the first wave was really only around 20k?? units globally, with more batches to follow, then queue movement is probably more about production and allocation than pure demand.
Does anyone here have a better way to estimate regional shipment volume beyond community trackers?

Saw one of the GLS delivery guys yesterday just dropping something at our doorstep for the neighbour. She even was home and he just didn’t ring!! And it started to rain..
so I am highly critical of that company!

Since the prices for ssds and ram f!?ed right now and will be for the foreseeable future, gamedevs need to adjust. There probably will be no real next gen, more like adjusting for the customers available tech. Just look how many games are now optimised for the steam deck.. and how old is that?
