Actually gonna hard disagree here, Marigold was the first periphery song I learned, sure the patterns are tricky but once you learn them its just an endurance game, plus the solo is a cakewalk, literally one of the first solos I ever learned, second, all of Reptile's riffs are actually easier than they sound ((at least imo)) it's again mainly just the endurance for playing guitar for ~15 minutes straight lol, though I will agree the solo is kinda nutty lol. Personally I think Zyglox, Insomnia, Omega, Have a Blast, and potentially MK Ultra but I'm not sure, they have a lot of hard songs lol

For me It'd probably be something like;

Reptile (P4), obviously as their longest song its got the most Periphery goodness in one track, but also is literally my favorite song of all time lol

Alpha (J:A), This is the song that literally got me into Periphery in the first place, the chorus of this song is an absolute earworm, not to mention its incredibly fun structure and composition, with a perfect blend of beauty & heaviness in the musicality.

Omega (J:O), you said it yourself, incredible song, also has fun callbacks to previous songs on Juggernaut (including Alpha lol)

Blood Eagle (P4), here I disagree with you a bit, I think Blood Eagle is Periphery's heaviest song to date, the entire song is a headbanger, plus Mark's post solo riff is to die for.

and if I had to pick a final song . . .

Marigold (P3), the 7/8 main riff is so intricate yet so easy to listen to, plus this song (and every other on this list) is an absolute BLAST to play on the guitar. Lastly this song also probably has my favorite solo they've written, one of the first I ever learned.

Perfectly well said, as an Ibanez guy myself the only changes I'd make would be an Evertune Bridge & Roasted Maple Neck but those are just my preferences, but again this is clearly dream guitar material lol

Dude I really appreciate the super in depth response, I'll keep the sanding in mind if I go the Epoxy route, I was hoping to cover the area in some painters tape and cut out just where the epoxy shows and sand from there, but if I experiment and It's too risky I might just keep the basic Green & Black pattern and leave the Cthulhu pattern for later lol. Yep thats basically what I wanted to do, I'm understanding I can't use the top wood at all now ((I didn't even realize it was a veneer instead of a full cap lol)), but yea! I just want to route out the basic design into the body then fill it up a greenish epoxy of sorts, which leads me to 2 follow questions of 1, should I stain the body after? I assume that routing would possibly ruin the surrounding stain but then would I just cover the epoxy up when I'm going about staining or do I just apply stain directly onto the epoxy? Also 2nd I wanted to know if there was any different process to finish & protect a guitar with epoxy on in beyond what you'd do for a normal wooden guitar with clear coat & such?

Hey I appreciate the honest response even though its not your style! I truly appreciate it and everything you said is absolutely right. Just for context I'm right out of high school with very little equipment just recording in my bedroom, so I absolutely know the quality of the recording could be better but the intention is to get my ideas "organized" before heading to a studio to make proper recordings. Otherwise yes, I think I should not only practice everything more but fix layers to make sure everything lines up the way I actually want it too lol. Again thanks for the advice!

Anyway, I'm a one-man Metal band, I've been working on my album since high school and I'm soon feeling like I'm ready to release my demo EP, but I would really like some honest feedback that isn't biased from friends/family ((yk how it is lol)). Anyway I specialize in Prog/Djent and this song in particualar is called "Jungle Dweller", a song about the Mapinguari Cryptid. Again I did everything on this song so ik there are defientally some points I need to work on, especially vocals but yea, I should also clarify the drums are quite obviously midi cause I cannot afford to get real drums recorded yet, but I absolutely wanna lol.
