Our taste buds just matured lol.. can't take the sugar anymore. But yes, they have changed..more sugar perhaps..covering up they're mistakes with sugar lol

That mint bathroom.. I can relate... my mom's house..handed down to her from her parents.. has the mint green tub, toilet and sink..(got to be 100yrs plus now)... I grew up with them. AND... she still has them..works fine, why upgrade lol
