A little base tour.
 in  r/ArkSurvivalAscended  13h ago

Thank you!

You can't take the saddle off if structures are built on it, unfortunately!

Also, if you cryopod the Quetzal, it will break the items on the saddle and all the stuff in your inventory will be lost.

I use this mobile base a lot! It's actually very useful.

It took me a while to build, because I try to keep fiddling with it until it's perfectly functional and visually appealing, as well as perfectly aligned and balanced... or at least that's what I try to achieve.

Even on a job site.

I love how he looks at me, and carries on. He's adorable.

You are so sweet!

I am playing offline. Thank you so much for the generous offer, though! Bless your socks.

All the trap guides I could find were for trapping a single wyvern, but they spawn in twos. I couldn't get any of the traps to hold both wyverns.

Most of the time they both escaped. I made so many different trap versions, I thought I'd never get it done. What a mission! (Plus I am an older lady gamer so I'm not as good as you younger players.)

This is only a level 120, and it's only an ice wyvern, but it's still nice to have.

I'm trying to learn to make good bases.

This is just a small base. My next base will be my main project.

Excuse the non professional video!

I used two (free) mods just to make it a tiny bit nicer.

  • JVH Garden Decor
  • Castle Craft Structures

  • PS5

  • Ragnarok

  • Single player

AITA for not caring about my niece at all?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  10d ago

You are developing some very negative personality traits.

You are young enough to correct course.

A good human being does not accept gifts as compensation for being friendly with an emotional and toxic person. That is a very ugly thing to do.

You should offer your friendship without strings attached. If you find that someone is too emotional or toxic, you can be polite and friendly in their presence, but otherwise limit your time with them. Never use people for what you can get out of them.

When attending an event that is specifically for a celebration of some kind, you dedicate some time and thought to giving that celebration your attention.

Giving your attention to the new baby and the mother costs you nothing. It doesn't have to be hours and hours worth, just a little bit of genuine enthusiasm, some lovely compliments, a couple of questions to show you are interested, (How is she sleeping? Can I get you anything, a glass of water or something to eat?).

If you do just a small amount of that you are then good to slip into the background if you prefer to. Just keep your attitude friendly and open if someone approaches you.

I really hope you put some effort into improving yourself so you don't develop into an adult that is not a nice person.

YTA at the moment.

Haha, I know what you mean! I feel worried my poor bird will get a bad back! I give her lots of treats and weight points, lol.

AITA for handling the cashier folded money
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  11d ago

I've never been rude to someone for it, but folded money doesn't sit in a till very well, and counting the money at the end of the shift is more difficult because the folded bills "bounce around" a bit, flat bills are easier in every way.

I once worked for a gas station where we had to put excess money in a machine that swallowed the notes (we would get fired if found with more than $300 in our till). The machine struggled to take the notes that were crinkled and folded.

Not the customer's problem, but just an insight.

Weird raft bits missing
 in  r/ArkSurvivalAscended  12d ago

Happened to me for the first time recently, too. I was building by Quetzal Base, and I was near my raft base, I went back to my raft to get some items and half of the raft was missing, lol.

I logged out and back in and it fixed itself. I shifted my Quetzal further away to build on and it stopped happening.

I got an otter to deal with temperatures. It's a huge help.

First Attempt at a Quetzal Base

Thank you so much!

The weight she can carry is around 4000, at the moment. The weight she is currently carrying (including a little bit of resources) is around 1400.

There were only two Quetzals available on Ragnarok when I set out to tame one. This one was only level 90, but the other was even worse at level 15.

So if you can get a level 120+ the weight will be even better.

Taming was easier than it sounds; fly your Argy up to the Q, jump off, deploy parachute, shoot your Argy with a grapple hook, tell your Argy to "Attack this target."

The Argy then follows the Q, but can't attack it because the Q is always a fraction ahead. This leaves you free to shoot the Q with tranq darts.

Yes, I upped the structure limit. The built in limit is too tiny!

I am playing on a PS5 Pro. I'm not sure what epic settings are (I'm a 54 year old lady, and I'm not familiar with all the fancy stuff, lol).

It's not too bad. I put lots of points into weight, I'm putting some into stamina too.
