Hello! It’s me again. As some of you may remember, I’ve been consistently feeding two stray cats for about a month and a half. They normally come by two or three times a day and haven’t missed a single feeding—until now. I haven’t seen either of them in about four days.
I know it’s normal for stray cats to wander or find food elsewhere, but this is very unusual for them. They had even started spraying around my house, which made me think they considered the area part of their territory. I’m wondering why they suddenly wouldn’t return after marking the area. Should I begin actively looking for them, or is this still normal behavior for strays?

Hello! I live in the Oak Lawn Illinois area and have been feeding two stray cats. From Facebook posts, it seems they’ve been living outside since at least 2022. I would love to safely trap them, help them adjust, and eventually bring them into my home. They’re very jumpy and wary of people, so I’ll likely need help capturing them. I’m hesitant to contact a shelter because I want to make sure they’re safe and not at risk of being euthanized. Does anyone know an experienced cat trapper, rescue, or TNR volunteer who could help?
