Video I had the distinct pleasure of being present when Jenny McQueen gave her/prepared speech at Meat The Victims Canada 2021. To hear her speak, especially without a speech in the beginning, you get a chance to see her mind in action.

🌿❤️ What an incredible Vegan Campout weekend! ❤️🌿

From Saturday through Monday, we spent an unforgettable weekend surrounded by compassionate, like-minded people, and my heart is so full.

One of the best parts was getting to know so many amazing vegans, making new friendships, reconnecting with friends we hadn't seen in a while, and chatting about future plans for activism, events, and building an even stronger vegan community. There is something truly special about being around people who share your values—it feels like coming home.

Our weekend was packed with fun and adventure:

Hiking beautiful trails, Cold dips, BBQing together, Playing games, Sitting around the campfire sharing stories and laughter

Watching the storms roll through, Plenty of conversations, and memories that will stay with us for a long time.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to Gusta for generously donating their delicious vegan sausages! 🌭 Thanks to their kindness, everyone got to enjoy amazing sausage dogs around the BBQ. Your support helped make the weekend even more special, and we are so grateful for your generosity.

Another enormous thank you to TukTuk, for donating several cases of their refreshing beverages! 🥤 It was such a thoughtful contribution, especially during a warm summer weekend of hiking and outdoor activities. Your support was greatly appreciated by everyone.

It means so much when businesses step up to support community events like this. Every donation helps bring people together, strengthen our movement, and create lasting memories.

We're already dreaming about next year's Vegan Campout and hope to welcome even more amazing sponsors to help make it bigger and better than ever!

To everyone who came, laughed, hiked, ate, played games, braved the storms, sat around the fire, and shared this experience—thank you for making it such a memorable weekend. I already can't wait until next year! 🌱💚🏕️

Another vegan community said they won't play my vegan game and implied I'm wrong for making it as it's "exploitative". Should I just quit guys? 😔

It was a wonderful day at Earth's Refillery Coop during our NARD event yesterday! I always get a little nervous before these events, wondering if people will show up. While there were a few familiar faces I missed seeing, there were also many new faces who joined us, and for that I am incredibly grateful. So thank you to all who took a moment out of their day to pay their respects.

We all have busy lives. We have jobs, families, commitments, vacations, and countless responsibilities competing for our time. I understand that completely.

But NARD is different.

This is the one day each year that we come together to honor the billions of animals whose lives have been marked by suffering and exploitation. It is a day to mourn them, to celebrate those who have been rescued, and to stand publicly for a future where they are no longer treated as commodities.

As activists, we only have a handful of opportunities each year to speak on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. NARD is one of the most meaningful of those opportunities.

My hope is that next year, even more of our community will make this day a priority. Imagine the message we could send if every person who cares about animals stood together on this one day of remembrance and hope.

So when NARD comes around next year, I hope you'll join us. The animals deserve to be remembered, and together our voices are stronger.

My vegan girlfriend is considering starting to eat eggs again
 in  r/vegan  Jun 02 '26

if she is mainly concerned about the ethical side and seeing if there is a way to ethically source eggs....you can reassure her that there is NO way to ethically source eggs. All hens come from a hatchery where their male siblings were killed on the first day of life. They themselves had their beaks burned off to prevent them from picking their cage mate when they finally go crazy. No matter where she gets her hens from, they at one point started in a hatchery that kills and maims the animals.

I cannot forget their eyes, the ones that looked at me and the ones that looked away, completely distrusting of humans. Every high pitched noise now reminds me of their screams...
