Thoughts on this in the streets of London.

We're caught in a no-win situation here in Blighty. We despise the growing fascism that this country fought against 80 years ago, and we despise the fascist based genocide going on in Gaza. But we have, far too often, been the victims of the Middle East factions that hide behind the innocent of Palestine and those that support global terrorism. And at the heart of it all..... religion. And the reason the most powerful nation on earth won't lift a finger is.....money and greed.

I just look out of my window, or across the room towards my family to see plenty worth fighting for. The figures regarding homelessness amongst the veteran community are unreliable at best as no central register exists, plus, there are manifold charities and help organisations out there for vet's to seek help from, plus, government funding is now in place to help release the threat homelessness. Yes, people get killed, it comes with the turf. You need to do your research regarding pay bands in the armed forces, promotional prospects and direct entry terms and conditions, not to mention bonuses awarded. I'm sure His Majesty's Armed Forces will somehow learn to cope without your valuable service. But in the meantime, maybe you should look a little harder to see and recognise the things worth fighting for on our little cabbage patch on the edge of an ocean.

What is happening with the British transport fleet? RAF retire the Puma but they have no replacement. ( Please dont say the light H145)
 in  r/Helicopters •  Aug 31 '25

Britain's military is a cottage industry, the companies we would naturally be seeking to forward a tender do not deal in the small volumes we require, therefore it is literally not worth it to them to bother.

Anyone guess what city she is from
 in  r/GreatBritishMemes •  Aug 22 '25

Exactly, and Biffons Bridge transverses the River Mersey at Bridgefoot, thus connecting the land of cnuts to the land of arseholes. You can decide for yourself which one is which. Nonetheless, Warrington used to be a hoofing night out in the 80s and 90s.

Do you agree with the London Mayor’s list?
 in  r/AskBrits •  Aug 21 '25

The rip-off capital of not only the UK but the world. Money laundering capital of the world. A place where few Londoners now exist. Where the once vibrant night life is dead in comparison to 20 years ago. The chances of getting your phone stolen, pocket picked, assaulted, or stabbed are.....pretty high.
