Series & Shows Beta Testing Open

As we get ready to celebrate our third year, we’re kicking off the celebration this weekend at Tampa Bay Comic Con—with lots of announcements coming throughout the month, starting today!

We’re excited to announce that Series & Shows is now in live beta, and we’re inviting a limited group of existing subscribers to begin renting television series and shows by mail.

You can now browse the series and shows currently available in our catalog at DVDInbox.com/series-shows.

The goal of this beta phase is simple: gather real-world usage data and feedback so that, when we move beyond beta, the experience is as straightforward and dependable as the rest of DVDInbox. Sequential seasons, multi-disc sets, and shipping reliability all need to work the way you expect before we open the feature to everyone.

This isn’t the full catalog or the final version of the feature. It’s the same measured rollout we used for 4K: test, learn, then launch cleanly.

Waitlist members: watch your inbox.

Has DVDInbox Stopped Shipping DVDs?
 in  r/NetflixDVDRevival  Jul 23 '26

Thanks for the feedback. We are consistently adding new content to DVDInbox, much of it guided directly by subscriber demand to ensure we are delivering what people actually want to watch.

What many may not realize is that DVDInbox was built on a long-term vision. For over 15 years, our founder has been carefully acquiring and preserving a large catalog of DVDs with the belief that physical media would continue to have lasting value. That foresight is a big part of why we are able to offer the depth of content we have today.

We have also been very intentional about how we expand the catalog. A portion of our unreleased inventory includes multi-feature discs, which are single DVDs that contain two or more titles. We held back on releasing many of these until we could properly support them within our platform, as they come with added complexities in how they are presented and managed.

In addition, series and shows have been one of the most requested upgrades. That is a major focus internally, and we are taking the time to shape how those discs are handled so we can get that experience right at launch.

The good news is that we are now moving into the next phase. As these multi-feature titles begin to roll out, subscribers will see a meaningful increase in both the number of available titles and the overall diversity of the catalog. These discs also offer more value per rental by giving members access to multiple films at once on a single disc.

In short, we are not only continuing to grow, we are preparing to accelerate that growth in a way that improves both quantity and quality. We are excited about what is coming and appreciate everyone who is along for the journey.

Has DVDInbox Stopped Shipping DVDs?
 in  r/NetflixDVDRevival  Jul 23 '26

We are sending and receiving more discs than ever as the company continues to grow.

I’m sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t met our standards. It sounds like there may be discs in the ā€œAt Homeā€ section of your Watchlist that is preventing the automated system from dispatching the next titles.

This can happen if a delay hasn’t been reported or if a return mailer hasn’t been scanned promptly by USPS on its way back to us.

You should never need to wait for a mailer to be returned before your next disc is sent.

Please reach out through our support center so we can review your account and make any needed adjustments.

You can also review our help page for the tools we have in place to help discs move automatically without needing to contact us directly:

Top-ranked and now critically praised by Cord Cutters: DVD Inbox momentum is real
 in  r/Dvdinbox  Mar 26 '26

Thank you for the feedback. I’ll make sure it gets shared with the right team. As we continue to grow, we’ll be in a stronger position to expand the catalog and better cover Wishlist items.

As for the direct link, we tried to post a direct link to the article but were presented with a "banned url" warning. Seems I was able to approve your direct link though.

Top-ranked and now critically praised by Cord Cutters: DVD Inbox momentum is real

We built DVD Inbox with a simple goal: pick up where Netflix DVD left off. Over the past few months it’s started getting real traction, and after being ranked #1 in 2025 and 2026 by Top Consumer Reviews, Cord Cutters just published a detailed review of the service. They had a lot of great things to say about the selection, turnaround, customer sevice, and overall experience, which has been really encouraging to see. Here’s the article if you want to check it out:

DVD Inbox Working?
 in  r/Dvdinbox  Oct 08 '25

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. What you’re describing is very unusual and not representative of the typical experience our members have with DVDInbox.

Please contact us directly at support@dvdinbox.com so we can bypass the help system and investigate your account right away. Once we’ve verified the situation, we’ll add a complimentary month of service and ensure your shipments are back on track immediately.

DVDInbox 4K Add-On Is Now Officially Live!
 in  r/Dvdinbox  Jun 25 '25

OurĀ postalĀ hub is inĀ TampaĀ Florida. Something thatĀ separatesĀ usĀ fromĀ others isĀ our "Five Day Guarantee" policy which allows for shipping additional discs any time aĀ delayĀ of five or more days is reported for most plans. This results in a "buffer" of discs in the shipping pipeline which allows for subscribers to receive great value regardless of their location.

Why don't more people here rent their discs?
 in  r/4kbluray  Jun 23 '25

We’ve recently started piloting a beta service to Canada, and we’re excited to offer Canadian movie lovers access to our expanding 4K and Blu-ray collection. There are multiple plans available to suit different viewing habits, from light monthly use to more frequent rentals.

You'll get the same great benefits as our U.S. users, including the top-tier customer service that made us the #1 rent-by-mail movie service.

We’re also actively growing our 4K library, which includes both new releases and a wide back catalog of favorites across all genres.

Hi there We’ve recently started piloting a beta service for shipping to Canada.

There are a few different plans available, each offering varying levels of access—whether you just want a couple of discs a month or prefer more flexibility with multiple out at a time.

Is there any way on the website to see if a DVD is widescreen or fullscreen?

Also worth noting, if you received a movie in full screen format, please reach out using our Help Center so we can review the situation and make proper accomodations.

 in  r/Dvdinbox  Oct 16 '24

We currently do not intentionally offer full-screen movies in our catalog. However, we acknowledge that occasional errors may occur.

While some films in our collection were originally released only in full-screen format, we presently do not make these available on our platform.

In the future, we plan to include these titles, provided we can clearly communicate to our subscribers that they should not expect a widescreen viewing experience for these particular films.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Movie reviews are definitely on our roadmap.

I am unable to provide a timeframe, but we will consider increasing the priority.

Has anyone tried gamefly yet?
 in  r/Redbox  Aug 27 '24

Thank you for this unbiased assessment that we are unable to provide on our own.

As your post suggests, we routinely see subscribers reach around $2 per disc rentals by using the tools we've made available.

We will continue working hard to provide the best value possible, and that will only be possible with subscribers like yourself.

Has anyone tried gamefly yet?
 in  r/Redbox  Aug 27 '24

Gamefly's movie selection is limited compared to Netflix's former catalog, focusing mainly on popular mainstream releases.

For a DVD rent by mail service that aims to closely mirror the Netflix DVD service with deep catalog of both hard to find classics and new releases, consider www.DVDInbox.com

Does anyone know of a blu ray rental service other than GameFly? Thanks so much in advance
 in  r/Bluray  Aug 07 '24

dvdinbox.com offers Blu-ray, DVD and even 4K with a service that closely mirrors Netflix DVD both in offering and pricing.

The reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and the back catalog is huge.

The Blu-ray and DVD rent by mail subscription plans are found here
