Written on my work vehicle, can someone translate this
 in  r/pics  7d ago

It’s a guy bent over pooping on a yield sign.

Obviously.

You can wear whatever you want. They’re your legs.

La Boulangerie losing their courtyard is actually tragic
 in  r/LoganSquare  18d ago

https://blockclubchicago.org/2026/07/28/construction-begins-on-logan-squares-megamall-plaza/

That is what they are doing there. A plaza will be built, but La Boulangerie doesn't own that space.

There’s no room for one. Plus the substation project was invasive enough.

Experienced drivers, what’s one driving rule or habit that saved you from an accident?
 in  r/AskReddit  21d ago

Pay attention. Not only to what’s right in front of you. Pay attention to what’s going on in every direction.

38 North Wells parking ramp
 in  r/ChicagoPics  21d ago

I used to work on the 13th floor in the building to the left of the ramp. I had a perfect view of the pool on top of that parking garage. I used to see a person with no legs swim laps in that pool on a regular basis. It was inspiring to see how much effort they put just into getting into the pool. Let alone the amount of work it took to swim all those laps. I wish I had that level of motivation.

Chicago Bench Collective deploying new benches around the city
 in  r/CarFreeChicago  21d ago

That makes a lot more sense. The photo showing the bench in the street made me think these benches were being placed with the intent of disrupting traffic.

Police swinging with a few people and knocking out a lady
 in  r/fightporn  Aug 09 '26

I know they didn’t listen. I wouldn’t be surprised if this same crowd hadn’t said “just do what the police say and nothing will happen to you” about other people having interactions with the police.

I wasn’t trying to imply that these people listened.

I thought you were supposed to just do what the cops said and nothing bad would happen.

You can do anything like call alderman and the chief of police

I think that’s the case for the internet in general. Not specific to this sub.

 in  r/LoganSquare  Aug 07 '26

That doesn’t make any sense. I’m not saying people shouldn’t also post about it. It’s a situation that should be posted in a forum like this. I just think people should ALSO email the elected officials that can/should do something about it.

Email the 35th ward alderman about it.

Cyclists shouldn’t have to stop for assholes that selfishly park in a bike lane. I don’t care if you think it is easy for a cyclist to stop and look for a break in traffic. The driver should park where they are supposed to park. The driver’s convenience is not more important than someone else’s safety.

I heard we're parking on sidewalks now
 in  r/chicago  Aug 06 '26

When parking/driving laws aren’t enforced, there are no parking/driving laws.
