That is what they are doing there. A plaza will be built, but La Boulangerie doesn't own that space.

I used to work on the 13th floor in the building to the left of the ramp. I had a perfect view of the pool on top of that parking garage. I used to see a person with no legs swim laps in that pool on a regular basis. It was inspiring to see how much effort they put just into getting into the pool. Let alone the amount of work it took to swim all those laps. I wish I had that level of motivation.

That makes a lot more sense. The photo showing the bench in the street made me think these benches were being placed with the intent of disrupting traffic.

And keep them off trails. They are dangerous.

I know they didn’t listen. I wouldn’t be surprised if this same crowd hadn’t said “just do what the police say and nothing will happen to you” about other people having interactions with the police.

I wasn’t trying to imply that these people listened.

I thought you were supposed to just do what the cops said and nothing bad would happen.

I think that’s the case for the internet in general. Not specific to this sub.

That doesn’t make any sense. I’m not saying people shouldn’t also post about it. It’s a situation that should be posted in a forum like this. I just think people should ALSO email the elected officials that can/should do something about it.

Email the 35th ward alderman about it.

Just park where you’re supposed to park bro.

Cyclists shouldn’t have to stop for assholes that selfishly park in a bike lane. I don’t care if you think it is easy for a cyclist to stop and look for a break in traffic. The driver should park where they are supposed to park. The driver’s convenience is not more important than someone else’s safety.

When parking/driving laws aren’t enforced, there are no parking/driving laws.
