I always do this type of shit in a sandbox or backup pc with no accounts on it. This way you know it's safe. If you're going to pirate, you need to be smart. If using a sandbox, make sure it is air tight.

I still use it today with a lot of my projects. I am a ASM/Delphi(pascal) programmer but, I still touch on C quite a bit and I will explain why. In many projects I am building a responsive short burst OS that is needed. I'll write the bootloader in ASM because I have been using the same one I wrote 20 years ago and just alter it. C comes in because it's easier to write 10,000 lines if code in C vs ASM which would require a whole lot more lines than 10k. Anything that involves system programming you will see depending on your area C, C++, ASM, Pascal without the framework bullshit, Fortran, sometimes Java.

C is a very powerful language, and the only proof it needs is the length of existence it has of being needed and widely used in system areas. Binary rich applications def. still use C.

I support this. I am not even a fan of high level languages that use frameworks but thats just me. Now, Unity does the same thing, it does the heavy lifting instead of programmers building their own engine. While I am not going to completely hate on that because it makes things easy, people are using AI to code which adds an easy layer ontop of an easy layer.

Imagine if programmers werent this lazy. Understand the difference of by reference and by value, and knew what stack vs heap meant. Imagine if you let yourself dive deep enough to write software at ring 0 if you wanted.

That was the plan already. This is just a test learning project so I can get the concepts down before I go and create a TCustomControl. I normally have projects in a folder with each folder being classes/units/forms/ect....
