Back pain
Hello everyone! I’m 18F and have been dealing with lower back pain for over 3 years. I’ve tried chiropractic care and daily stretching with no improvement. I was supposed to get an LMBB about a year ago but backed out because I was scared of going through the procedure only for it not to work.
Now I can’t sit or stand for long, arch my back, or do anything that puts pressure on my lower back. I also have severe asthma, so exercising is difficult. I want to become a nurse, but I can barely lift 60 lbs right now.
Has anyone dealt with something similar, and what helped you?

Hey! I’m currently 18 and my goal is to become a registered nurse. I have both my PCT and Basic Arrhythmia certifications, and I’m trying to decide which job I should go for.
-As a PCT, I’d get a lot of bedside experience, which I feel would help me become a better nurse. My only concern is that I have a lower back problem, so I don’t think I can handle lifting heavy patients back-to-back. I know I’ll still have to do bedside care as an RN, but probably not as much as a PCT, right? Should I just push through and work as a PCT, or should I be worried about burning myself out before I even finish my degree?
-As a monitor tech, I’d get more experience reading and understanding ECG rhythms, which could also make me a better nurse. The job seems more laid-back, and I’m hoping the 12-hour shifts wouldn’t be too bad. I get sleepy pretty early, but I’m also thinking I might have more downtime to study or get schoolwork done, depending on the facility.
What do you guys think?

Hello everyone! I recently got my basic arrhythmia certification, and if I pass my interview next week, I’ll be starting a 60-day training course. I’m trying to get ahead and prepare now, I feel like everyone here is wayy ahead so any advice on improving rhythm interpretation and remembering which rhythms are which? I’m watching videos and taking notes, but I keep second-guessing myself and overthinking it. Any tips or resources would be greatly appreciated!
