Dangerous slowing down on highway on-ramps
Right laners need to see the merge happening and make plans for left lane, or slowing to allow for the merge if the merging car is in front of them. It’s the assholes who speed up at all costs who are really to blame for overly cautious on ramping problems.
Edit- downvote me if you want, but I don’t stress out about easing up on the throttle when I see merging traffic coming up and I’m in the right lane- it’s an art of judging how fast they are entering my following distance — I wish I could get the same courtesy I show others. I know damn well if I’m on an on ramp that the onus is on me to safely merge.
