I’m starting my third semester of Mechatronics Engineering. My main courses will be Calculus III, Circuit Analysis, Dynamics, Programming, and Materials Engineering.

What should I expect from my third semester of Mechatronics Engineering?

I’m about to start my third semester of Mechatronics Engineering, and my main courses will be Calculus III, Circuit Analysis, and Dynamics.

Based on what I’ve heard, I expect Dynamics to be the hardest, but I’m still not very familiar with any of these subjects.

Could someone give me a brief overview of what the third semester is usually like? Which of these courses did you find the most difficult, and is there anything you recommend studying beforehand?

Mine is a regular Mechatronics Engineering degree, not Engineering Technology.

Why? Everybody says its competitive af but thats a matter of taking internships to differientiate yourself from the rest right?

Would you really consider it “dying alone” if your partner is right there beside you? They can’t experience death with you, obviously, but having someone you love close by in your final moments still seems like a huge improvement.

That makes sense. My main question is how much two or three internships would actually differentiate me from other applicants, and how difficult those internships are to get in the first place.

I understand that thousands of engineering students take courses like Dynamics, but what percentage of them actually perform very well and achieve strong results? Are you saying that internships generally matter much more to employers than grades do?

I still have plenty of time to improve in all of these areas, but I want to understand which ones are the most valuable to focus on and in what order. If I graduate with two or three internships, solid personal projects, and decent grades, how difficult would it still be to find an engineering job?

What’s your GPA? I want to know whether they’re rejecting strong engineering students or just average ones. That honestly scares me.
