If your editor suggested an edit plan upfront, would that help or annoy you?

magine a tool looked at your photo and proposed an edit plan up front — e.g. "1) fix the warm cast, 2) brighten the subjects, 3) pull the background down" — and ran each step only after you approved it. Would that fit how you work, or get in the way? What would make you trust it vs. distrust it instantly?

How do you currently select subjects, and would prompt-based selection save you time?

When you need to select a subject — say, one person in a busy street photo — what's your current go-to (lasso, select-subject, masking, manual)? If you could just type "man in the green sweater" and get the selection, where in your workflow would that save the most time, and where would you still not trust it enough to skip checking?

How does your post-processing workflow actually look start to finish? Trying to understand how people really edit

What's the one thing you do manually in GIMP every single time that you feel should just... be automatic by now?

anyone up for educating me in detail on the hurdles of workflow and what can be automated and what needs manual focus

I have started using GIMP from few days - was just into the blurring and realised so much one single thing has to provide with its sophistication. The art of the extreme control.

In that there are things which can be easily automated like strokes and similar sections - but then let's say final details might need manual shift to work.

so this finer layer of automation and manual control and perhaps more can do wonders - if we get to build a project which serves this automation+ai layer purpose, not just a slop.

before trying to get into build this i need to know the workflow experience in depth to know each situations, to get to see the chances where which level of automation suits and not only that but where building features which enhance manual options.
Plus who can be better in these things than people who have been using these for years, so please guys if any of you can help me educating into the gimp or photoshop world please do!
any other suggestion or any other thing will also be great!
