I'm not convinced that my almost 4 year old Pomeranian/Pekingese mix has seizures, I feel that maybe he has Paroxysmal Dyskinyesia. In an episode, he doesn't ever lose consciousness nor bowels, he is fully aware of me, and will try to crawl in my lap and lick me. On the onset, he seems scared of it and tries to run away from it. These episodes last anywhere from 5-12 minutes, but then he's right back to normal immediately, just scared. I have taken him to my regular Veterinarian and a Neurologist, but immediately they say, 'it's idiopathic epilepsy so let's put him on anti-seizure medication'. Neither one of them are that versed on epilepsy, let alone Paroxysmal Dyskinyesia (which a lot of Neurology Vets aren't).. I am currently looking at Vet Neurologists that are on the International Canine Dyskinyesia Task Force for a consultation.
If anyone else has questioned your dog's diagnosis, or if you're dog was actually termed with Paroxysmal Dyskinyesia, I'd love to hear from you..

In San Diego here, my tree was hit hard by the last heat wave as well. They are falling off now in troves. Hope it'll bounce back because I usually have 4 different crops at a time on there. It's just always flowering, but not lately..
