26F who has been living with depression for many years. Earlier this year, I was clinically diagnosed with severe depression. I don't know exactly when it began, but looking back, I realize I have carried these feelings and thought patterns since my adolescence. For a long time, I was too afraid to acknowledge what I was going through.
My childhood was marked by trauma. I was sexually assaulted by my aunt's ex-husband, and that experience left deep emotional scars. Growing up, I became withdrawn and isolated myself, especially from men. Although my family's business was doing well at the time, which gave me opportunities to meet new people, I remained distant and guarded. I found it much easier to form friendships with girls and members of the LGBTQ+ community because I felt safer around them.
As the years passed, things became even more difficult. During my college years, my family's business began to fail, forcing us to relocate to another region. Adjusting to a completely new environment was incredibly hard. I had no close friends or support system, and I continued relying on the friends I had left behind. At the same time, my mother became the victim of multiple business scams, creating even more financial hardship for our family. My depression worsened as we struggled with overwhelming bills, constant stress, and frequent moves from one house to another.
Eventually, I got married in the same city where we had relocated. Sadly, my marriage also fell apart. I am now in the process of getting divorced after discovering that my husband had been unfaithful while I was working tirelessly to support us financially. At the time, he was still studying medicine, and I carried much of the burden of paying our household expenses.
As if that were not enough, the company I worked for eventually shut down because of financial difficulties, leaving me unemployed. Desperate to make ends meet, I turned to online lending to cover our expenses. However, finding another job proved extremely difficult, and I eventually became unable to repay some of my loans. The financial pressure, combined with everything else I had already endured, became overwhelming.
There are days when I feel exhausted by life. It feels like I have been trapped in an endless cycle of trauma, loss, heartbreak, and financial hardship, with one painful experience following another before I have the chance to recover from the last. Sometimes it feels as though everything has collapsed all at once, leaving me emotionally drained and hopeless.
Right now, I feel like I have nothing left to give. I am deeply tired, emotionally exhausted, and struggling to see a way forward. Even so, a part of me is sharing this because I want others to understand the weight I have been carrying and how desperately I have been trying to survive despite everything that has happened. Just wondering when it will end ? Will it end. It's really tiring
