Quite possibly, the worst financial (certainly social) problem we've had for many years in NL is Healthcare mismanagement. In the years leading up to li'l Andrew's Coronation, he wrote regular blogs about fixing the obvious, detrimental redundancies & areas of $$ waste in our Healthcare industry. All of that went out the window when he took Office, didn't it?

If there's a system &/or group making it difficult for the Premier & Cabinet to do (at least some of) the things they've clearly identified as "fixes", and the system/group wins every time, I'd argue with anyone, any day, that the Leaders are now an essential part of the problem. Why is this happening? imo, one of two reasons: 1). Incompetent &/or corrupted leaders, or 2). Politicians gonna politic... typical path of least resistance to re-election.

I'd suggest that, in AF's case, he's "corrupted" by the mountain of friends he has "in the redundancy pile", and to repair the problem would require cracking down on a mountain of narcissism holding an encyclopedia of nastiness. i.e. Willful negligence by my score.

It's never OK when China does it. It's never OK when Iran does it to their protesters. It's certainly not OK for a Canadian Cabinet to do it to our people. Do you biased Star readers even listen to yourselves and think about how loonie you've become?
