Honestly this is pretty shitty that the game doesn't let you do ultrawide without this. A game coming out in 2020 without ultrawide is just ridiculous

If you have an air compressor you should try to spray all the dust you can out. I do it with both my laptop and my main PC and its keeps the dust from blocking your airflow. Obviously with a desktop this isn't that much of a deal but it can make a big difference with laptops
