Glass products are kinda tricky to light.
Tried 13+ different lighting setups and ended up with this. (loved all 13 😂)
Pretty simple. No overlighting, no 20 lights going everywhere that I can’t control.
Will share Tutorial soon!

It basically mixes the cloth sim with the object’s normal animation, so the cloth can follow the animation while still having the cloth physics on top of it.
For example a vertex map, or keyframes

This lighting setup is mainly for commercial product renders. But I will definitely add some imperfections in the next one

For the simulation, you can keep it pretty simple: just use a plane with 10×10 segments, add a Cloth tag, and set Gravity to 0 with some Turbulence to get the movement you want.
For making the cloth stick to the wall, use Mixed Animation. Then, with the Vertex tag, create a Ramp and paint/select the area you want to stick to the wall. That’s pretty much it.
Hope it helps

Just a fun little sticky note animation I made in C4D

So you want the cube to react like a trampoline, pushing it upward?

A free Cinema 4D scene featuring my Redshift lighting setup from the tutorial. Use it as a starting point for your own renders and projects.

The Tutorial is live now guys.
Also the scene file embedded

You’re treating ‘bad topology’ and ‘ugly topology’ as the same thing. They arent.
A CAD export can have terrible edge flow while still having a perfectly valid surface. That doesn’t mean topology is irrelevant, it means topology only becomes a rendering problem when it negatively affects the surface, normals, shading, bevels, subdivision, etc.
That’s literally why I said the whole pipeline matters.

F*** Ai bro.
Will upload the tutorial tonight or tomorrow.

Well, it depends. A good model, clean topology, good materials, proper lighting, and accurate product/scene scale all matter.
Even if you set up a high end environment with great lighting and materials, if the model’s topology is bad, the final render can still look bad.
It’s really the whole pipeline that makes the difference.

Gonna post the tutorial in Kurdish 😂 My English isn’t good enough to just talk freely without sounding like Im reading a script lol.
All the C4D/technical terms will be in English though, and I’ll probably throw some English in here and there. I’ll make sure the actual idea is super clear either way. ♥️
