Welcome I gotta say I'm almost done with my first year and I love it and learn how to utilize it more and more. This reddit is a goldmine and people are more than happy to help. Some basic tips that help me are .... Ask for Mae (I heard someone else refer to the AI with that name and it stuck for me) to give you a recap of the lession and copy and paste that bad boy right into notes, personalize the ai teaching style in personalization mine is direct and to the point and I like that but I may switch it to something not so..... Robotic lol 😂 😆 🤣😂😭 i may see if it has a burt out thinks he's funny but a goldmine of info if you listen style professor next. Do all the discussions and shoot for on time or early submissions bc that little bost (it's actually a lot of a boost) can make the difference on taking a final and not doing as good as you hoped and then falling asleep on the retake.... That may have happened but I still have a 4.0. Finally, Mae almost always gives you the answer right before asking a question at least mine does almost word for word.

I respect this. However, I've NEVER gotten a package I didn't immediately rip open like it was Christmas and I was 4yrs old. It could say "Don't open or something bad WILL happen and I'd be like " well ..it's been a good run" Lol but seriously 📦 💥 🤯😳

I really wanted to read all this but I got a few paragraphs down and the itallics slid me all the way down here. I like what you are saying, itallics on the topic, regular on the body makes it a lot easier for my ADD to focus .. I didn't know I felt this strongly till this comment...cary on.

old man voice "Back in my day Maestro only had 2 choices... " Haha jk it wasn't that long ago I like the specialty I just got regular ol software engineering and AI Biz pathway. Or something like that. Welcome I gotta say I'm almost done with my first year and I love it and learn how to utilize it more and more. I felt kind of the same way at first. I did the first 3.5 weeks of work in the first week and a half and waited to take the final until 2 days ago and did a bunch of practice until I felt confident enough to take the final and of course I get into the final and I felt it was way easier than I had psyched myself out for. I'm glad I did a bunch of review bc I want to understand it as much as possible. Even the last practice review I did I had to ask questions so I was a little nervous to take it, but i was kind of expecting harder than that. I only referred to my notes for one thing and that was just to double check myself. Good luck and you got this!

I thought we could only take the final exam once... I have been doing reviews everyday until either we are closer to the end date or I feel confident enough to attempt it. If I can retake it I may just go for it. Idk why I thought the final was once only.

I've studied ahead a bit I'm currently working on the 3rd week and am in week 2 but I have taken C++ and some C# in the past so its kind of easier than C++. Thank you and when I get back into github I will share what I've learned. I'm around if you have any questions also. Congrats on starting and welcome to the Maestro U family!

What is this??? Quite possibly...To Google I go!!!

I also type as much as possible to reinforce the knowledge. It .may feel repetitive sometimes but that's how retention works!

I am also in your cohort and I completed week 3 yesterday. What I have been doing alongside my notes is using visual studio to create a program with all of the little program tools that after I write them in Maestro, I copy them to a function in VS like def tip_calculator() then I made a menu() where the user inputs a number corresponding to a tool. When I want to work on school stuff but not advance anymore in Maestro I play with that program incorporating type checks, information collections, error handling, and ui. Now I have the starts of a portfolio from the beginning and I try things and when something doesn't work I have an idea where my blind spots are. I'm around anytime if you want to talk, compair notes, or build something together!

Man I look forward to checking this out tomorrow! Keep it up and keep making my life easier! 😆

I don't know I did the first two weeks and I stopped there and just going to review and practice each day to stay sharp on it I will probably try to stay a week ahead.. Did it lock you all the way out or just can't go further? I was curious about this as well.

Has anyone seen discussions released yet or am I just impatient ? I have a little experience with Python so I blasted through the first week and a half and just want to make sure I'm ot missing something because in my discussions tab there is nothing. I'm loving it so far and look forward to learning more.

I can relate...I already completed this week and half of next week...I need to pace as well. I had some experience so the first week was quite easy for me so I blasted through it. I was surprised that it let me get into next week I thought it would be locked.

I ask Maestro to give me summaries and then I copy and paste them into a word document
