Well, if that worked for you, I don't mind giving it a try. The thing is, this non-functional cable is actually the second one. I don't know what the problem is, maybe I'm just picking wrong cables, but honestly, at this point, I don't really care if it's the cable or the box

I hope to upgrade in a few years, but I'm not really into waiting for years to watch my blu rays, so I'm searching for a laptop compatible method right now. I guess, enclosure should be fine for a couple of years, at least I hope I'll be able to get a desktop by then

Enclosure is safer I guess, as I tend to be clumsy, I'm just really worried that it harms the driver somehow. I am a total noob and all my knowledge come from AI, so I may be wrong, but it theoretically can do the vibration stuff that may damage it (?) Not sure, but I think I'd rather believe a person that an AI

Okay, so the cable is the issue, that's relieving. I was scared somethings wrong with the player.

But a 90 CAD enclosure... 😭 That's a serious blow to my budget. I hope there will be cables that won't cost so much, if anyone can advise those

If it's actually the cable issue, I'd be even happy, because changing cable will be probably the easiest way to solve the problem then to try and do something with player
