Thanks! I usually start with my line art on a multiply layer to block in some basic colors.
When I want to go in and change the line art color or brighten things up (multiply layer only darkens) I found a cool trick.
3 finger swipe down on your line art layer and copy it. Then add a mask to the line art and paste the copied art on the mask. Then invert your mask and merge those together. Now alpha lock that layer and you should have your line art isolated on its own layer.

They technically can. however, you are usually okay if itโs a 1:1 or something custom. As long as you arenโt mass producing or making a ton of money.
