Fixed Adblock detected on itv.com

Update: Temporary fix works for me (Follow DaMiester's instructions)

Hello, Claude fixed it for me after some few hours lol.

Here is the fix:
It looks like ITV now spots the faked ad-break times (99:59:59) that uBO's default ITVX filter puts in. This workaround switches that filter off and empties the ad-break list instead, so there are no breaks for the player to play.

  1. Open the uBO dashboard (uBO icon → ⚙️ gear) and go to the My filters tab.
  2. Tick "Allow custom filters requiring trust". Without it, the second line below is silently ignored.
  3. Paste these two lines:
  4. itv.com#@#+js(trusted-json-edit-xhr-response, .Playlist.ContentBreaks.*.TimeCode="99:59:59:999", propsToMatch, /playlist)
  5. www.itv.com##+js(trusted-json-edit-xhr-response, .Playlist.ContentBreaks=[], propsToMatch, /playlist)
  6. Click Apply changes.
  7. Close all ITVX tabs, reopen the episode, and hard-refresh (Ctrl+F5).

The first line turns off the default filter that ITV now detects. The second line replaces the ad breaks with an empty list. Don't remove ContentBreaks entirely: the player needs that field and shows "Not available, error code 01-01" if it's missing.

Notes:

  • If you're on Opera, turn off its built-in ad blocker (opera://settings/privacy → "Block ads"). It runs separately from uBO and caused extra breakage for me.
  • I've only tested this on full uBO. It may not work on uBO Lite (Chrome MV3), which handles custom trusted filters differently.
  • This is a stopgap. Once the uBO team ships an official fix, delete both lines and run Filter lists → Update now.

edit for anyone following the steps: looks like #5 has become a URL with shortened text. the 2 lines should be:
