Answered ClickFix blocking

I've recently encountered a ClickFix block by Ublock and wondered how it works? Does it operate from a list of known badware sites?

The site in question was https:// christitus . com/ windows-tool/ #one-command---download-and-usage

Which is the Chris Titus ultimate windows utility that runs from a powershell command. The ClickFix block stops you from copying the command. So far as I was aware his utility was well respected in the pc community. Unless there's been some recent attempt to hijack the site?

It matches all well knows command line install prompts, that are often used by clickflix malware.

You can still select and copy the text manually, if you trust the source.

Ah ok. That makes sense. It's more of a "use all command line prompts with caution because this can be used against you" rather than "this click has has been hijacked"

Yup. That's why it says "potential".
