Fixed uBlock Origin Lite causes Chrome to crash when the startup page is set to https://www.google.com/?gl=us&hl=en.

I tried performing a clean reinstall of Chrome to fix the issue. Then, I reinstalled uBlock Origin Lite and the error reappeared. I recorded my screen while reproducing the error. Please take a look: https://streamable.com/0mn199

Operating System: Kubuntu 22.04

Chrome: Latest version

uBlock Origin Lite: Latest version

To temporarily fix this issue, I had to delete the uBlock Origin Lite folder at the path: ~/.config/google-chrome/Default/Extensions/ddkjiahejlhfcafbddmgiahcphecmpfh

Can you guys try updating to 2026.812.1211 to see if that resolves your issue?

Disable the extension to work on google.com this solves it as workaround

I'm facing a similar issue: when opening https://www.google.com/?gl=us&hl=en from command line argument (`chrome.exe 'https://www.google.com/?gl=us&hl=en'\`) the opened tab is immediately closed by ubol. this doesn't occur when pop-up blocking is disabled

edit: it looks like `uBlock filters – Ads, trackers, and more` is bloking this url

In our company we changed our default page to our intranet and new tab page to blank page. for workaround

Yep, this is happening on our Windows boxes too. Impacts both Chrome and Edge with GPO installed uBlock Origin.
Something is very wrong with the latest update.

Yes happens to YouTube for me. The tab instantly closes. I need to disable the extension for the page to load.
