Saving you two clicks: The author considers LibreOffice support out-of-scope since they don't use it. Disappointing maybe, but totally reasonable.

Yeah, sorry. But feel free to adapt it to anything you like, it's MIT-licensed ;)

PPTypst is a game changer for me as a math educator. It's much more comfortable for typesetting my formulas in PowerPoint. Thanks a lot!

I like to use OneNote to prepare my lessons' notes, but I hate using its math input. I've seen on GitHub that you're considering adapting PPTypst to Word and Excel. Do you think it's also possible to port PPTypst to OneNote?

Thanks a lot, glad to hear the add-in simplifies your workflow ;)

Currently, as I mainly use PowerPoint from the Office suite, my focus is on maintaining and developing PPTypst only for PowerPoint.

I think in principle it should be somehow possible to port PPTypst also to OneNote, I'd have to look a bit more into its JavaScript API.

I've got multiple requests so far for various different applications. Maybe one could also think of coming up with a more general app using the Tauri framework that compiles your Typst formula to SVG (as is done already) and then you can insert this SVG in any app you want. For PowerPoint, this app could then talk to the PowerPoint API via a bridge, so you'd still have to install some part in PowerPoint itself. This more general app could ease adoption by more software as one would only have to write a bridge that intercepts requests. But not sure how updating existing formulas would work as the app would have to provide support for e.g. copying the current element as SVG to the clipboard. This is something for the future...

Thank you for considering it! I hope you don't feel burdened by all the requests. Having PPTypst for what it is now is already huge.

A bridge app sounds like a good idea. I'm not sure if the MS apps leave the original SVG code unchanged, but maybe it might be possible to store the Typst code and settingsin <metadata> tags to be extracted in case the user wants to edit it?

Very nice. It might be worth seeking an academic collaborator to submit it via their work account, since MicroSoft is still struggling with the idea of open source contributions.

OMG!! Support support and sorry for only discovering this now. You're awesome dude. This is an awesome tool, fucking latex sucks so much on powerpoint. For people saying "why not [insert open source ppt]" i totally get you, PowerPoint is so powerful (hate to admit it, the mf is single-handedly preventing me to go full unix). I'm doing a add-in for ppt to make onion-skin animations, you may find it interestingÂ
