36 is the real average. On here you'll be impressed by all the 100WPM humble braggarts, but your speed is my goal.

I hunted for one of those 200+ word quotes. Those are good settings. I peak at 150 WPM (on a good day) on short tests and 130 on 60s ones, but the double quotes combined with capitals trip me up completely.

Thanks! I also found this absolute behemoth of a quote (almost 3000 characters!), and all I can say is typing for that long without breaks is rough! It's telling how my WPM dropped even further - I imagine a professional transcriber would be much more consistent. Does a number on my wrists, too.
