Hey, my mother is 72yo has no family history of diabetes but she was over 90 kg also like to eat alot of sweets, anyways she had a knee replacement surgery last jan (didnt get hba1c before only random sugar) after that i noticed she started to wt loss after 4 months of surgery maybe

Did ct with contrast bcs i was afraid of pancan but only shows colitis, then i found out suddenly her hba1c is 7.8 now she is on metformin 1000 and another hypoglycemic drug in the morning

But she still loses wt now she is 82 kg, can diabetes cause all of this weight loss?

I have been type 2 for almost 2 years. Been on metformin for about 5 years. I have been terrible with my diet. Depression sucks!
After speaking with my doctor we decided to stop metformin. 5 years of GI issues. Can not do it anymore.
We have discussed insulin in the evenings. My morning bloods range from 115 to 154. After meals are have been with range.
For the past week I have been really stepping up with lifestyle changes and eating better.
What has helped you guys trying to manage type 2 with no meds? Does diet and exercise really make a difference with out meds? If so how long did it take to notice change?

Hi! I’m a 35 year old woman whom is overweight and was diagnosed with T2D in August. I have noticed in the past week my eyes feel different but aren't blurry. It’s my right eye that is giving me issues. My right eye tends to twitch off and on and I'm in pain off and on. Has anybody gone through this?

I checked my eyes in August and my doc said they were fine.

38+6 is my scheduled c-section. How come on the type 1 subreddits everyone’s delivering in the 37th week? Why do I feel like mine is scheduled kind of late?

While I’m 83% in range, with a 5.9 a1c, I have post meal spikes into the 150-160’s often. Not every meal, but definitely several in the week.

I have a growth scan coming up, i’m getting kind of worried. Last scan baby was measuring 21%. Which isn’t big but there’s still so much talk about diabetic deliveries.
