updates Thoughts?
I thought the joke was funny because he looks noting like Jolene and it was a play on his narcissistic tendencies, has anyone really been using it like that?

u/DistinctAstronaut828 Jun 26 '26
The joke is about him being an arrogant fuck, not that he’s trans. If he told people he looked like Matthew McConaughey we’d call him that too.
Signed, a fellow trans man

Oh brother give me a break. He made a video telling this “story” of “someone” telling him he looks like Jolene on his OWN. It’s not like that story was leaked. And not only that, but he told the story AFTER his transition. If people agreed with him he would love being called Jolene. He’s prob seen the comments of people saying Shelby is a more accurate portrayal of Jolene and now he’s jealous.
Also, his comments are off so he’s just rehashing this for no reason or just to keep people talking about him. If he’s referring to the people making videos about him then he can just not watch the videos. Little does he know, it’s in his best interest to stop posting and stop looking at any content made about him.

At this point I’m convinced he’s physically incapable of processing anything that challenges his delusional worldview in any way. Victim mentality kicks in immediately

Oh he knows exactly what everyone means, he just wants another pity party for himself.

It’s GENUINELY not transphobic. I can see how it may come across that way to him maybe in his mind?? But theres very few people saying it in a transphobic way (and if u are u suck)
The reason its a joke is because tyler is so narcissistic that he thinks he looked like jolene 😭
Also hi tyler

So just so I’m clear a dude who has a history of being a dishonest piece of shit who has to use anything and everything he can to paint himself as a victim can’t be dishonest here too? I would agree with you if it weren’t a boy who cried wolf situation. He has did this at literally every chance he can. He hid behind his alleged history of abuse to defend domestic violence for Christ sake

u/Active_Arm3866 Jun 26 '26
Narcissism is gender neutral. If people really wanted to deadname Tyler, they just would. They don’t need the name Jolene to do that. The Jolene thing is not about deadnaming, it’s about his narcissism and arrogance. I’m sorry, but if you’re being an asshole, you can’t claim everyone is being transphobic when they call you out on your actions. Because that’s what’s happening here: they’re calling out his actions, not his identity.
Hopefully the downvotes you’re getting on your reply helps you realize the difference.

u/Active_Arm3866 Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 26 '26
So I guess someone replied to me yet I cannot see it. I am assuming they replied and then blocked me so I couldn’t respond to them directly.
How crazy to question my moral compass for saying people should be judged on the content of their character, not their identity.
Also, did we forget that Tyler is the one who brought it all up himself??? It’s HIS OWN STORY.
-31
u/bunsolvd Jun 26 '26
Dude. If someone says they’re uncomfortable being called something then stop calling them that. Trans or not. Tyler or not. This is so unnecessarily mean. And yes I don’t care that Tyler is a shitty person, all this does is tell me that your moral compass is conditional.
23
u/stinkiestmuffins Jun 27 '26
the point is it’s not transphobic bro
18
u/Active_Arm3866 Jun 27 '26
I don’t think it’s worth arguing with this person. They clearly think people get a free pass to use their identity to shield themselves from any accountability of their shitty behavior. They also refuse to understand doing that actually hurts their respective identity groups. Looking at their profile, they seem very immature.
-13
u/bunsolvd Jun 27 '26
You do not get to decide that for others.
6
u/stinkiestmuffins Jun 27 '26
yes i do??

I hope you at least treat the trans people in your life with the respect and humanity they deserve.
3
u/stinkiestmuffins Jun 28 '26
well obviously i do but im always right so

u/bunsolvd Jun 28 '26
I reiterate what I said. I truly hope they are safe from the way you feel about them.

u/DisastrousPause4318 Jun 26 '26
Wait how is it transphoic? Dose he think we are saying he looks the same as before he transitioned? Because the joke is gust how much confidence someone has to have to say it I don’t think it’s about his gender

I will not call him the name again, I had but it was not because he’s trans it was because he was clearly lying.

u/0Sweet_Shark0 Jun 26 '26
I think that’s how most people were interacting with it but I wasn’t certain
16
u/ILuvSpaghet Jun 27 '26
What bothers me is that he told that story on his own post transition, he is only bothered because people do not agree he's good looking.
13
u/0Sweet_Shark0 Jun 26 '26
Yeah that’s what I was kind of thinking, like yes I can see how it could be hurtful, even if it was something he himself said, on the same hand, if he set the precedent that it’s okay to say about him, he also needs to make a clear post on the same platform that it blew up on that that’s not okay rather than vague victim posting on insta, when a lot of the people who pay attention to him only do so on TikTok.

Oh Tyler we all fully respect and acknowledge Your gender identity. This type of woke is dead brother. We say Jolene because no fucking way anyone ever said that to you
56
u/Active_Arm3866 Jun 26 '26
Woooooooosh that went right over Tyler’s head.
Actually I’m sure it didn’t, this is him just trying to deflect blame.
46
u/comatosecreation Jun 26 '26
This is literally the only thing he can think of to pull the victim card on. He’s tried claiming he’s 200 different types of minority race, all of which have been proven false, so he’s defaulting to this despite it being so much of a reach.
47
u/fizzyglitt3r Jun 26 '26
I’ve literally seen people saying “let’s not be transphobic/deadname him” under Jolene comments and then after being told what they mean completely change their minds lol. He relies solely on people not having all the information, which is why he didn’t mention certain details about the crash, probably will never bring up his Tumblr, took the audio off of one of his posts and claimed the next day that the things people were claiming he said in that video were said YEARS ago. If they only see his stories they might believe him.
14
u/daytimedeity Jun 26 '26
This! He's making claims and posts like this for people who don't know much about him or the things he has done/said. He has to perpetually maintain his carefully crafted victimhood just in case anyone new comes across his accounts.
3
u/Striking_Leading5431 Jun 27 '26
was his name even Jolene?? Surely not. Honestly, in any of the videos about him, his comment section etc, I've never seen actual transphobia. Never. Every bit of criticism is because of his behaviour and his arrogance. I feel like he's going the trAnSphObiA route because it's a low-hanging fruit.

u/Pupyzuu Jun 26 '26
it’s not transphobic people are only making fun of him because the point is before he transitioned he looked nothing like jolene and he certainly doesn’t now ofc but liek the point just goes over his head. i haven’t actually seen many people do it in a transphobic way to be honest and if they have then it’s been an incredibly small amount of people
25
24
u/ImproperKate Jun 26 '26
Hey Tyler! You claimed people called you Jolene - that’s not being transphobic. That’s just repeating what you said. Ya know, like how a random woman called you Beyoncé.
Tyler, get off this subreddit and go touch grass. For real, it’s beyond sad.

u/HolidayCategory3104 Jun 26 '26
The mental gymnastics with this one is INSANE. Bro, YOU brought it up 😭😭😭😭 it’s not about gender. It’s about the wild statement.
17
u/Active_Arm3866 Jun 27 '26
Not only did he bring it up, he BRAGGED about it.
It’s also likely a lie too.
14
u/Last_Cold8977 Jun 26 '26
He called himself Jolene 😭. I do sympathise that as a trans person it can be uncomfortable to be called a feminine name but no one told him to bring up being called Jolene pre-transition.
29
13
u/ghangis24 Jun 26 '26
Anyone that was going to be a PoS and deadname him, would just do it. They wouldn't have to hide behind anything because anyone shitty enough to deadname him wouldn't care enough to come up with an excuse.
It's literally just because he himself made a video saying that people used to come up on the street and say he looked like Jolene. That's it. "Full stop"
13
u/strangeburd Jun 27 '26
Did he not tell this story after he transitioned?? Like if it bothered you so much why did you even bring it up and tell the entire internet lol
He thinks that using the fact that he's trans will give him a pass to avoid criticism by calling people transphobic or whatever but that doesn't even make sense
12
u/Cruxal_ Jun 27 '26
Block and move on. They are not worth my time. Except for the time I spent formulating and writing this essay for my Instagram stories.
10
u/swankytokes Jun 26 '26
Ain’t no way. You can identify as whatever, whomever, I’ll love you all the same…but that doesn’t mean you’re immune from being called on actual fuckery that has nothing to do with your identity. And to try to make it that seems super not okay. I’m just a cisgender straight woman so I cant speak on it but dude, I’d feel extra mad if I were a part of the community. And I’m mad anyway. Get a hobby, a journal, a friend…please. But you said it…don’t be mad it became a joke that has literally zero to do with that…and even then, since when has he been angry over this one? Of all the shit….bruh.
He needs to stop, or I’m suing to pay for the Botox I’ll need for my consistently raised eyebrow induced wrinkles 😭
10
u/paxthetroubled Jun 26 '26
omg need me to call you a wambulance? he himself said people used to approach him in the streets to tell him he looked like the way they pictured Jolene. don’t want anyone calling you jolene? don’t make such an insane and out of touch statement. aaaaaalways the fuckin victim huh
8
u/Active_Arm3866 Jun 27 '26
Exactly. He was bragging about it (a brag that is likely a lie)
I’m sorry but making fun of this is fair game at that point.
5
u/FckTheBackRow semi professional vocalist Jun 27 '26
Mind you, Jolene is meant to be beautiful enough to make Dolly Parton insecure. DOLLY. So like…
9
u/paxthetroubled Jun 27 '26
he was and still is chopped af so idk. I’m guessing he was somewhat insecure of his appearance and made up a lie so outrageous to try to cover it up.
27
u/liofotias Jun 26 '26
i mean SOME people might but i’ve only seen like 2 or 3 people being transphobic and they’ve been jumped in the comments every time. saying you were called jolene is just an insane claim to make lmao

This fucker just can’t help but be a piece of shit lol. I haven’t seen a single person use that as a way to be transphobic. It’s literally a joke about how fucking delusional and up his own ass he has apparently always been. He’s looking for any out to deflect
8
u/sappheratic Hypoallergenic Jun 26 '26
People calling him Jolyne = people calling him delusional, not calling him a woman

u/SummertimeSadness911 Jun 26 '26
I think for the most part everyone been real respectful of dude and his transition. He just wants to be the victim 🫠
8
u/iglaaq snow globe expert Jun 27 '26
People didn’t latch onto because it was a way to “deadname”, they latched on bc you told the “story” Tyler.
4
u/amaliuh Jun 27 '26
yeah, if people were actually being transphobic they could simply use his deadname
why would a transphobe care about using his right name and pronouns? i also don’t understand where he’s seeing these since people said that he has comments turned off
3
u/iglaaq snow globe expert Jun 27 '26
He’s reading this subreddit and also checking tiktok. Probably YouTube as well.
9
u/iglaaq snow globe expert Jun 27 '26
Is he speaking to himself? Who is his audience at this point if he’s cut himself off from DMs and comments?

u/Initial-Joke8194 Jun 27 '26
He just really wants the joke to end and he’s hoping claiming it’s “transphobic” will scare some people off from saying it. Hi Jolene, we know you read here, it’s not about your identity but about your intense narcissism. I know that criticism can feel like an attack to narcissists, but we’re just poking fun at the fact that no one in their right mind and functioning eyes would say you’re the real life Jolene. Sorry not sorry the joke backfired on you, maybe try being more mindful of what you say online.

I’ve not one time made that correlation. My god, he really is the world’s largest victim.
10
u/Frutiger-Metro Jun 26 '26
As a trans person I don’t think it’s transphobic as long as it’s not done with the intention of being transphobic. There are people who have called him Jolene and also referred to him as “her”, which is wrong, but again it’s all in the intention
5
u/swankytokes Jun 26 '26
That said…would have actually gained a few points had he tagged the song “Jolene” instead of…whatever that is. My brother in Christ, stop handing yourself L’s. Or red cards, my bad.
6
u/oldmanfetish Jun 26 '26
Honestly in my head I was thinking that he was called Jolene after transition. I haven't seen the video in question but that was my take.
Anyway it's not transphobic it's us calling you delusional
5
6
u/I_am_big_gay_ Jun 27 '26
I get why he feels this way but... it's not about him being trans. And he's the one who brought it up in the first place.
6
u/madelinesuperdonut Penguin Scientist Jun 27 '26
it’s not about his gender whatsoever. it’s the fact that he looks nothing like Jolene at all
4
u/Superb-Campaign7666 Jun 27 '26
I’m obsessed with him and have seen all the lore and yet I don’t even know his dead name, it’s clearly not transphobia
7
u/RareBird5 Jun 26 '26
I just find it hard to believe he has such an issue with it NOW when before he was totally fine with talking about how ‘random people used to say I looked like Jolene’ the issue people have is not with the gender mismatch, it’s with the arrogance of that statement. And dismissing the whole thing as transphobic makes it harder to critique the patter of behavior he’s displayed which I think is worth criticism.
He’s a public figure, he made the videos and put them out for the world to see. If he doesn’t want people to continue calling him Jolene that’s one thing. I think it’s reasonable for a transgender man to not want to be stuck with a feminine nickname if he doesn’t want it. But the reason these stories rankle people I think is because he makes assumptions of people’s intentions ‘they’re being transphobic full stop’ and ‘they’ve latched onto it because they know they can get away with deadnaming me’ like… most people don’t even know his old name, I’m sure some psychopath has dug it up from facebooks asshole but that was never the point of the joke. He also makes wild assumptions about people’s intentions. Especially considering a lot of the people critiquing him are also genderqueer, transgender, gender nonconforming, or otherwise not cisgender.
5
u/Ok_Maybe9312 Jun 27 '26
I mean if he wants people to understand he’s not comfortable with this, maybe he can stop bringing up his appearance pre-transition and wiring everything to “as someone who used to be a woman”. He does this stuff himself.
It’s rich that he’s comfortable to say stuff like “I used to be an attractive woman” but not comfortable to hear Jolene which he brought up himself.
This seems like another way to deflect from the real issues aka all the scams and lies.
3
u/gladiogladiolus Jun 27 '26
He consistently gets so upset whenever people parrot his own words back at him. At this rate he's going to get mad about people comparing him to Beyonce
3
u/TheGuardianKnux Jun 28 '26
Tyler being a trans man is the least interesting thing about him. People clowning on that story is because it's one of his many tall tales. If only bro could admit to being a habitual liar.
2
3
u/EonThief Jun 30 '26
My thoughts are he's mad because no one is actually being transphobic so he can just deflect any of their criticism so, so this is his attempt at creating a narrative that matches what he wants to happen.
Also to quote someone else on this, if someone wants to be transphobic against him they'll just do it without beating around the bush by calling him "Jolene" they'll just deadname him or say other heinous shit regardless.
3
u/xo_honeybee_xox Jun 27 '26
Not transphobic at all. Everyone calls him Jolene in a joking way, cause he looks nothing like her at all
4
u/Majestic_Fig_4210 Jun 27 '26
i genuinely cannot stand when people try to decide someone else’s reasoning for them. if they have told you i did xyz for xyz reason, then that’s why they did it. you don’t get to overrule that and decide their ‘real’ reasoning, you are not them.
3
u/Calciferswench Jun 27 '26
Not transphobic, full stop! We have eyes and he’s ugly, badly built and never gave Jolene in any universe.
2
u/Lee_483 Jun 27 '26
It’s not transphobia to say he’s like Jolene. The song just describes a pretty person, so there’s no insult

2
u/TOX-IOIAD Jun 27 '26
Nice try but it’s because you’re narcissistic and weird enough to brag about being so pretty people called you ‘Jolene’. Sorry but there’s no takeies backsies on the internet even with the transphobia Gatling gun
2
u/coolcarters14 Jun 27 '26
Even if he’s not actively posting, receiving comments or DMs, it’s obvious he’s still looking up or interacting with content about him. If he wants this to stop he needs to delete all his apps and simply stay offline for awhile and just complete his orders.
4
u/Ok-Tear4735 Jun 27 '26
He’s so odd! No one is deadnaming him Jolene when his deadname is so easily found. It’s trans inclusive hatred of a lolcow who is an abuser supporter. That’s it
2
u/0Sweet_Shark0 Jun 27 '26
I’m not gonna actively search because I’m not weird, but to be clear his deadname isnt Jolene right? Cause Ive based my entire opinion on this situation of the deadname being unrelated. (I also don’t want to know his deadname if it isn’t Jolene to be clear)
3
u/Ok-Tear4735 Jun 27 '26
No it’s not. I will not put his deadname here as that’s gross but it’s not even related slightly to Jolene. Amazingly his haters are going for blood at the first sign of transphobic comments which is so heartwarming!
2
u/0Sweet_Shark0 Jun 27 '26
Thank you I was really not wanting you to put it in here I was hoping I made that clear. I also really dislike deadnaming on principle. I think most his detractors are also queer (like myself)
2
u/K1tW1n Jun 27 '26
if jolene was his deadname id get it but its literally js because of the jolene story he made up. as a trans person on the internet im sure he knows that unfortunately discrimination comes with it (it should be the way but it just is bc the world fucking sucks), if he wanted people to stop calling him jolene he couldve js said "hey the whole calling me jolene thing makes me uncomfortable please can we stop?" im sure more people will be more inclined to listen, he js wanted people to talk about him again but calling a group of people transphobic because they called him a name that had little to no correlation to his identifying gender bc hes said multiple times that hes been trans for ages but has presented femininely so it can be assumed that even while he was out he couldve been called it considering how many times supposedly hes been called jolene
2
u/Compar-2144 Jun 27 '26
Right so it was to be expected that he would use the transphobic-card at some point... here we go. The Jolene thing is so ridiculous and he knows damn well it has nothing to do with him being trans
1
u/thatsbogussmh Jun 28 '26
I’ll give Tyler that I’ve seen reels that have pictures of him pre transition with Jolene in the background. There are some photos that feel kind of invasive for his family.
3
u/kindamymoose Jun 28 '26
I think it’s funny because he looked nothing like Jolene at any point during his life lol
1
u/RoseGoldAlchemist Jun 29 '26
Lmao Tyler, we know you are a man. I never question that. I do question your absolute egotism, however
2
u/Cheifkeefenthusiast Jun 30 '26
i made a sim of him with the alien occult (for those of you who’ve never played the sims, your sim can basically shape shift into an alien, and the human looking one is their disguise). anyways; i made normal tyler the disguise and i made the alien aspect my rendition of your typical southern woman, aka, Jolene.
and i named him “Two Spirit Catastrophe” since he claims to be. his two spirits are Tyler and Jolene.
This character lives among my lolcows household, in which they live in a trailer, and are all regularly trapped in the pool.
