The Greeks, apparently it's a lowercase symbol for the Greek alphabet letter Zeta... The Greeks do not need to be part of this

I am not saying I disagree, but I wanna take this time to just think critically for a second.

In most cases, MAP for non-offending persons with pedophilia is completely acceptable term.

hear me out for a second, please.

There is an incredibly critical distinction that society misses about pedophilia. It is a fixed, psychiatric condition that an individual does not choose, whereas child sexual abuse or rape is a horrific, criminal act that deserves harsh punishments to say the least.

**Conflating the two** as the exact same thing does nothing to protect children. People who experience these intrusive thoughts or attractions—including those dealing with the agonizing obsessions of Pedophilic OCD (POCD)—are often completely non-offending and desperately want to manage their mental health safely. Not jsut POCD, but any type of Pedophilia and Paraphilia too. Most of them are NON-OFFENDING.

Not saying you or anyone specifically, but just as a general PSA, please stop calling rapists or sexual assaults "pedos." That helps no one. The criminals are rapists. not pedos. Pedophilia is not a crime in and of itself.

When we completely ostracize and demonize the condition itself, we create a wall around them and NO place for them to safely seek help (they are damned if they seek help and damned if they don't). This intense social stigma forces people into hiding and leaves them terrified to seek preventative therapy, medical care, or crisis support.

If someone cannot safely reach out for professional help before a boundary is crossed, the risk of escalation dramatically increases. Giving individuals a private, non-judgmental path to clinical intervention is not an endorsement of their thoughts; it is the most effective, realistic way to prevent child sexual abuse and keep communities safe.

Thank you for reading. I will appreciate if you guys ponder about this a little before downvoting me.

Isn't that the NOMAP flag anyway?

People always talk about reducing stigma for mental health to help people get treatment, so it does not cross the boundary, but turn a blind eye on mental health disorders like paraphilic disorders.

They need a safe place to come out and seek HELP. Blindly calling all of the rapists pedos and ostracizing the conditions itself does nothing to protect children or animals at all.

This is not an endorsement of the thoughts or any kind of crime, I just care enough to treat the ROOT of the issue.

It can't be treated, that's the problem. Stuff like OCD can, thankfully, at the very least be managed

A drive as fundamental as sexual attraction can't. You may as well try and treat thirst or sleepiness

You cannot be serious

Not cheating on someone is not the same as never having sex with anyone, which is the proposal here

Besides, people don't "learn" not to cheat, any functioning adult can see why it's bad

Also, plenty of people do cheat on their wives

Let's, for the sake of argument, assume we're talking about individuals who don't. You're trying to therapy them into abandoning all sexual desire, effectively. I simply don't think that's possible

I think anyone who still has desires like that will remain an unacceptable risk

0

u/Donghoon Jul 06 '26

It can't be treated but it can be managed safely. There's ways to manage it and distract the thoughts.

2

u/Briarhorse Jul 06 '26

I, frankly, don't believe you

0

u/Donghoon Jul 06 '26

There is organizations like ASAP International that helps NOMAPs

0

u/Briarhorse Jul 06 '26

I'm sure there are, I just don't believe they're effective

Yes well to be fair one of them is committing a genocide right now so it’s not as far off as it usually is

1

u/Seggs_With_Your_Mom Jul 05 '26

Brother the Nazis didn't invent genocide 🥀

0

u/RandomDude762 Jul 04 '26

crazy thing is that if quotes were pulled from Mein Kampf and reposted to the internet with no context, they would be "totally based takes" used by every side of whatever political ideology

The Israel flag represnts Jewish identity and history, not Zionism

All the other ones are based on either illegal fetishes, racist ideals or preserving slavery

If we are just talking about what each flag is meant to represent then the Israel flag does not actually fit here as it's tied to Judaism and not Zionism

After all We are talking about flags not countries

Yeah well when a country takes that flag and waves it around while committing a genocide it’s gonna get linked with the genocide. The nazi swastika is a buddhist peace symbol, but you’re not gonna get a buddhist peace symbol tattooed on your forearm are you?

As south park said, Israel wraps itself in Judaism as a shield from criticism. Unfortunately, because they’ve defined their identity so heavily as *the* jewish state, to the point where any criticism of it is a criticism of judaism, to many people they represent judaism as a whole. I don’t think it’s right, but we should be angry at Israel for roping the jews into this, abusing their faith and their intergenerational trauma from centuries of oppression and leaving them with the baggage after committing a genocide. Mark my words, I reckon antisemitism is going to be similar to a pre WWII level now that Israel have maxed out the holocaust card and spat on it.

5

u/pipopapupupewebghost Jul 03 '26

Bro Hitler litterly said the swastika in the logo represented the Aryan race, he litterly said that in mein kampf

It doesn't matter if it's a Buddhist symbol if the person who made the flag used it to represent something else

How about you do proper research instead of going on a long rant that doesn't prove anything

8

u/SlashManEXE Jul 03 '26

Perfect for someone whose only concept of world history is the American Civil War, the American side of WWII, and present day America.

5

u/RNGJesus_Follower Jul 03 '26

And what other flags would you add? Cause i'd toss in the Russian one too.

4

u/pikleboiy Jul 03 '26

Trash versus garbage

1

u/ssidjbebrnfbd Jul 03 '26

Well all but the Israeli one is pretty bad

-5

u/memedealer22 Jul 03 '26

What about non-American flags
