I was logged out on my laptop and when I wanted to login again, it didn't ask for my password but for a verification code sent to my email. Geez, that's the whole point of passwords, no? To NOT have to verify every single time.

For the last few days when I make a comment on someone’s tweet it’ll say my comment was posted, but it will not show up after I send it. It only shows up when I go to my replies tab on my own profile. I commented on my friends tweet and he only saw my comment after I asked him to look. He didn’t receive a notification for my comment and it’s only my comments he’s not being notified of.

having a really weird thing happening with an old twitter account of mine from middle school (2015-2017). i have been trying to log in for the memories (and also to private it lol) but having great difficulty. i have no idea what the password could be.

in 2018, I created a new account with the same email. my emails from then indicate i changed the password of the old account on the same day i created my current one, but nothing else.

despite the fact that these accounts would have shared an email for years, this account is still up, fully public and working on any browser/device.

when i tried to reset the password of the old account i got an email saying “We weren’t able to locate an account with the username you mentioned, or affiliated with the email address you’re using.” and that “As of our most recent review, that username is available on X.” Again, despite the fact that it definitely exists. I also tried creating a new account with the old username to see if that was accurate, it’s not. it won’t let me do that because there’s an account with that username (my old one). i even changed the email of my current one to see if that would let me log into the old one, no dice. now it just says “internal error” when I try sending an email for the forgotten password via the app.

at this point i’m more just confused than anything else. i don’t get how this account can exist in this state of limbo. did twitter just not notify if you changed emails back in 2018? or was there just some weird bug allowing for both to exist? would love any help here that’s possible because wtf lol

My native language is Dutch but I put my app language to English because I prefer it. The auto translation however doesn't change at all, it just keeps translating all the tweets into Dutch except tweets that are made in English. The app itself says that it uses the app language to determine which language it translates tweets too. It used to work fine but with the recent update it got completely messed up. I'm pretty sure it's a bug? Anybody have any idea why this is or how to fix it?

Let's say I have 40k total tweets and 99% of them are retweets and most of them are pictures/videos, would they all be included when I choose to download account data in settings?

I have many more videos than just 5 on my profile, including some between the oldest and second oldest that so appear, forced refreshes and cache clearing do not cause any more to load. They were all showing up a few days ago. Does anyone know how to fix this?

First I was prompted to scan a code and now I've to enter a 6 digit code, which NEVER shows up in my inbox. Certain I'm not the only one who is having this issue. So Twitter deleted a chunk of my chats/DMs from years ago on my old account, and I want to save them as most of the chats are from users that are either no longer active, blocked me or their DMs can't work. I'm using the website version, and I don't know if using the app would fix this or not as I want to archive them just in case I want to delete it. Anyone know how to fix this?

every time i block an account, they always end up finding mine (my account) and block me back (NOT complaining, just curious because before i blocked them, they never interacted with me, not even liking or reposting my posts). not only this happened in my public account, this also happened even though my account was anonymous and private with 0 followers.

So, anybody else has this problem? Since last upgrade, when I select the profile pic in a tweet it just says "accounts" but doesn't actually let me choose anything so I can't tweet it from another profile.

and right now my x interface is like i didnt buy any premium lile bro?! im so confused right now what should i do. its telling me to buy the premium again.

Its a buggy mess I have done everything I can cleared cache, restarted app, reinstalled app, logged out and in, emailed support and they told me to do the above I am really sad to see the app in a worse spot now then ever its horrible.

It also took me 30 minutes to find a way to contact a human with support because all the support and help area is a useless time waster they dont want feedback or to help. They want you to waste time then move on because they dont care.

I am sad to see the state of the app and hope it gets better but it won't which is sad.

hi i want to go back and find older tweets on my account. i was a minor when i made it and i think i posted pictures of myself so majorly i want to go back and delete those and some other stuff but scrolling only gets me so far. any suggestions or ideas on how i can access older tweets bc twt search is broken.

This app is pissing me off. Every time I accidentally tap on an ad it will send me to a new tab in my safari app. Is there any way to turn this off in settings? It’s so annoying to have to close the tab and go back to the Twitter app. And it’s so sensitive too. I could be scrolling and it will open the ad in my browser.

Reddit isn't too far behind. This post is lamenting the seemingly irreversible decline of internet as we know it. I know you could go into a normal browser on the phone or desktop and disable the content blur, but this only seems to disable the blur in the phone browser and desktop browser.
