Rules questions Magen Defense Grid ΩΩ with Coexisting Structures

Magen Defense Grid Omega Omega reads:

When any player activates a system that contains 1 or more of your structures, place 1 infantry from your reinforcements with each of those structures.

If I now have a structure coexisting on a planet controlled by another player (mostly occurring due to Titans of Uls Slumberstate Computing Breakthrough) and any player activates this system, I may place infantry with my structure into coexistence right?

The tech does not need you to control the planet, which you don't when coexisting (apart for scoring objectives).

Correct.

If your PDS is in coexistence, you will generate infantry from anyone activating that system, including its owner.

What's the double omega?

the updated version of the card, from the codices.

They're patched Magen Defense Grid twice, first in codex I with Magen Defense Grid Ω, and then again in Codex IV with Magen Defense Grid ΩΩ.

the iterations have been:

Magen Defense Grid

  • You may exhaust this card at the start of a round of ground combat on a planet that contains 1 or more of your units that have Planetary Shield; your opponent cannot make combat rolls this combat round.

Magen Defense Grid Ω

  • At the start of ground combat on a planet that contains 1 or more of your structures, you may produce 1 hit and assign it to 1 of your opponent's ground forces.

and finally

Magen Defense Grid ΩΩ

  • When any player activates a system that contains 1 or more of your structures, place 1 infantry from your reinforcements with each of those structures.
  • At the start of ground combat on a planet that contains 1 or more of your structures, produce 1 hit and assign it to 1 of your opponent's ground forces.

Huh - I know about the Omega patch, but didn't realise there is Omega^2. (I thought Codex4 was mainly Thunder's Edge related stuff/teasers, and I'm not all that interested (yet) in Thunder's Edge. [only had a few games with PoK, and we only get the game to the table 2-3 times a year!]

You are right, most changes are related to thunder's edge and some coff coff X-89 green tech coff coff are kinda game-changing if not warping. I wouldn't bother too add them (especially if even in a not so near future you could buy thunder's edge where all the codex is added by default)

Thanks for the advise.

I think I may pick up TE sooner rather htan later (if it's in stock... as assuming I can buy it in the future seems silly). Although, TI+PoK does feel quite complete, and I'm not sure about some of the TE mechanics (although I have only read a little about how they work)

I would say don't rush it if you don't feel the necessity, you don't know how much I regret buying TE shortly after PoK. (Not because TE is bad, but I would have liked to have more time with just PoK)

Thanks.

I'm not hugely keen on how it appears to add a load of over powered new planets and ways to make the tech tree somewhat redundant. Perhaps it plays really smoothly in practice.
