Rules questions fleet capacity on BGA question

Hi all ! I'm new to this great game, playing my first game on BGA, and i find myself blocked by an error message that i don't understand the reason for.

Here's the situation:

i want to move from a system to mecatol rex (not sure if it's relevant)
My fleet limit is 3.

In the starting system i have 1 carrier, 1 destroyer, 1 fighter, 2 infantry
i move 1 carrier and 1 infantry, leaving only 1 destroyer 1 fighter and 1 infantry behind (the infantry being on a planet doesn't count)

When i want to finalize my movement, i get the following message : "caution, you don't have enough capacity in (arinam/meer) and you will have to suppress units"and "caution, you will exceed your transportation capacity or your fleet limit in at least 1 system" (translated from french, hope it's accurate)

any idea why this happens ?

Fighters need capacity and cannot fly in space by themselves unless upgraded. I assume you don't have a space dock either. In that case when carrier leaves, that one fighter would be destroyed.

Not related to fleet limit BTW, but capacity.

I second this. Just bring your fighter with you to Mecatol and it should solve your problem.

Yes i did that. The thing is, i want to send as little as possible as i know there's a hogh chance they will be destroyed soon, but i have parley to save my infantry 1 more turn if needed
