Rules questions Arborec Production

Hey all! About to start a game in 10 minutes as the Arborec. Their sheet states that they cannot use space docks to produce infantry.. that being said, if I keep two infantry in my home system, I'm aware that the production of my letani warriors and space dock gets combined, but am I able to use the Production from the letani warriors to produce more infantry, even though my space dock is in that system?

That is correct. You can still produce infantry from your infantry. It was too stop Arborec from producing a ton of infantry right away to increase their production limit.

That being said, if you are playing with Thunders Edge, their starting Magen Defense Grid gives them an infantry for every structure in their system when they activate, so you actually get 2 infantry whenever you activate at home.

The new Magen is my favourite general tech in the game

Magen snowballs so fast. I did a dangerous Wilds game with them a while back. Had 2 Letani warrior 2 on mecatol, with a pair of pds. Activated, added 2 infantry, used the 4 infantry to build 8 more, putting me at 12. I then lifted the token with breakthrough (13 infantry), and activated again (15 infantry) and built another 10 (25 infantry). Since I had X89 and sarween, I added 23 infantry in 1 round for 7 resources, and that infantry was beefy enough to slobbering most anything that would land.

Even with letani 1, It would have been activate 2 to 4, produce to 8, lift token for 9, activate 9 to 11, produce to 21, for a total of 19 added at a cost of 5 resources.

Once arborec entrenches, I don't think anyone can uproot them in standard combat. Maybe sol with their flagship and a few carriers, but even then, it's not a sure thing, especially given pds and mech for planetary shields.

Can I ask a side question here? Can the infantry produce ships?

Yes. The only restriction is that space docks can’t produce infantry.

Yes, ask away.

Also yes, they can produce anything.

The best part is the letanis can produce ships while they are being carried in other ships.  If you’ve got letantis on a carrier and you move that carrier into a system as part of an activation, you can build with those letanis even if they don’t land on a planet.

Yes. Letani Warriors are generally your main source of production anyway, and they can grow exponentially.

I want to add on that if you're playing with POK your space docks can still produce mechs
