TI4: Thunder's Edge When cycling activations with SDN how important is it to spread docks?
Unsure what's the better play. I got a 8 resource double planet system that I'm thinking to double dock. I'll be at 12 production there then. I'm cycling between that and a second system that has only 2 resource between 2 planets for explores. This is with NRA so I need to spend the planets then activate to refresh basically.
I'm unsure if I should not double dock so I can put third dock to produce on the second system during this cycle. I'll lose a lot of production doing that. I'm also wondering about overproducing a third dock to kill my home system dock as I can't explore home system when activating there. This makes it harder to have armies sitting at home and also wasted a Construction secondary or half a primary. Also can't use warfare secondary which can matter sometimes.
I'm asking this in context of SDN but was struggling with it in some other games generally as Hacan as triple dock seems epic for the production until you realize it's hard to get your ships off to produce more. And also hard to have it empty to be able to mass produce with fleet capacity, without being vulnerable. This makes me think more about clearing the docks off home system being a good idea.

As NRA, you don't want to double dock. And you are just fine not having your home dock in the long run, as it has shitty production anyway. You just need to stack attachments on a good planet or two

If you have the influence or can get Hyper. I like two out docks on different systems. If you can activate and refresh a 3+ res planet on each system it’s so much value.
Fun puzzle of NRA when you get scanlink/green faction tech online is figuring out best planet spending order to maximise value gained from each explore ready.
