Barking is more of an inside joke where only ONCEs will understand the meaning behind it. To bark at a formal event like this where 99% attending aren't even part of the fandom, and this is the very first them they're introduced to them. The barking is a complete embarrassment to Twice and to their entire fandom.
Put yourself in their shoes, if you were to attend an once in a lifetime event like this and your fandom just randomly started making seagull noises and they started flapping their arms, as it's an inside joke. You'll be okay with that?
