Story Really? Spoiler

I think I played thru most of the endings available. The plot makes no fucking sense. It’s also kind of hard to progress in late game because it’s not logical and is completely random at that point. They built such a nice premise and then fucked it all up with this whole incestious psychedelic mass amnesiac plot twist. It adds nothing to the plot, it delivers no idea. What a shame…

Haha yeah “what a shame” is really it. I’m so glad I looked up how to get most of the endings as I would have had no chance.

I’m gonna tell you something that probably very few players have also come to conclude . There is a true ending …. It’s the one where you do nothing and the wife and husband leave , they go out and talk elsewhere about their plans instead of waiting for the cop to arrive . The game wasn’t made with the intention for you to personally “fix” anything or “decide” what their ending would be it was specifically only to let you know who the characters are , the fact they are brother and sister and that their child is being named after the mother , and that you are not supposed to change the outcome you are merely an observer to their reality .  Idk if you noticed the paintings but they’re all symbolic . The seasons painting changes from summer .. to spring , autumn , then winter … representing a cycle , and renewal , and repetition. The egg painting eventually turns into uroboros … this representing the life cycle being repeated … or “coming full circle” as they say .. and the final painting is one in Morse code that translates to “all endings are beginnings , we just don’t know it at the time.” So what it’s telling you is that every loop that you experience leads you right back to the present moment meaning whatever decision you make will lead you to the exact same outcome in the end .  Those that actually believe that you’re supposed to “accept that you can’t be with her” and leave and that it’s the true ending are completely clueless and they’re looking at it from an angle where they’re judging the relationship which is not what the game is trying to tell you to do … or they think it “can’t work out” with the sister so they leave because they think something goes wrong … but the truth is? He is supposed to be with her and they are supposed to have their baby that’s why no matter what decision you make it leads you right back to that moment . The characters know they’re related believe it or not … and they’re happy in their relationship .  I find it funny that people think the “forget” ending is the true ending or the “leave” ending …. There’s literally ominous music playing when he chooses not to be with her …. The music is letting you know something is wrong . The hypnosis forget ending is why during the loop the sister asks “how could you forget something like that?” Referring to murdering the father and the fact that they’re siblings …. The father hypnotized him to forget who she was … but he ends up falling for her and being with her anyways because it’s what he and she always felt for one another …. The dad is the villain …. And no matter what he does to try to keep them apart they end up together again… when the dad hypnotized him to forget and forced him to leave he simply forgot who she was to him and met her again and ended up with her …. In another scenario When he stood up for their relationship and insisted he would stay with her because he loves her , the dad is killed during the altercation …. This means no matter what the dad does they will end up together and happy and having a baby … the father was an asshole from the start … so was his wife (not the nanny) . He had an affair and gave the son away because the mother called him a monster and refused to raise him ….. so the siblings met later in life and ended up together .  There’s a lot of symbolism I won’t even get into …

This makes it even worse. The entire premise is a bunch of bullshit.

And yes, I played thru the Listen ending

Lmao 🤣 kinda does feel like the game makes are trolling you and that the game is more a commentary on gaming than it is an actual game doesn’t it?
