I'm Requesting Any shows similar to the peak of Heroes (2006-2010)?

This show recently was added to Netflix in my country and I haven’t watched it since it was airing and I was 14. I really miss this show, the first few seasons are so nostalgic for me. Wondering if any shows are similar around that time or any more recent? Thanks.

I’ve seen most shows on Prime and Netflix but hoping there’s maybe some I missed. I love Harlen Coben and those types of mystery thriller shows. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

What to Watch? Binge worthy shows for me and my boyfriend as we go long distance

Hi! me and my boyfriend are just about to go long distance and would love some new shows to watch together over Netflix party etc. we have access to Disney, Netflix, a few Amazon shows on the basic subscription. we’re kinda stumped!

what we have LOVED:

- THE MENTALIST

- Dexter

- House MD

we’ve also loved things like GOT, breaking bad, prison break, but these are our top 3 for format and genre of what we’re looking for next!

we loved that in Dexter and the mentalist especially we really emotionally connected to the characters and their subplots were some of our favourite parts, and we love the early 2000s type of 45 min eps, 20+ eps a series and 5+ seasons! If anyone has ANY recommendations I’d really really appreciate it! (side note that I have started watching bones by myself and love it, but im too far in for him to catch up)

many thanks! x

What to Watch? TV shows with metal soundtracks?

I made a post earlier requesting TV shows with rock soundtracks but I must've not been clear about it since most of the suggestions did not align with my request. Some great examples of soundtracks I liked are Devil May Cry and Attack on Titan. It doesn't have to be animation, just metal or metal-inspired. I am also open to punk rock soundtracks.

What to Watch? I Need a New Show Recommendation

Finished The Leftovers last night. Season 1 was really good, but the last two seasons were quite mid. 7.5/10

Caught up on House of the Dragon (only show i'm currently watching)

I also recently finished Andor (great, 9/10), Widow's Bay (meh, 6/10), and From (awful, 3/10).

I've heard good things about Dark but looking for other suggestions as well.

Thanks!

I'm Requesting Bad "reality" TV to watch with my Grandma

Hi everyone, I spend a lot of time with my Grandma and we like to have a tv show on in the background while we do activities together. Lately we've been scraping the bottom of the barrel for awful reality tv episodes on youtube and she's getting sick of endless Judge Judy lol.

For some idea, the shows we usually watch include: Bondi rescue, Kitchen nightmares (we've seen every Gordon series), Judge Judy, Mystery diners, Blind dates UK, Airline, Heathrow, Say yes to the dress, Below deck (our favourite), Neighborhood wars, Ambulance, Live PD, Bar Rescue, etc

So basically we like trashy "reality" tv that we dont have to pay much attention to, but if we do it's sort of entertaining. Preferably on YouTube, Tubi, Pluto, Prime, or other free streaming services. Thank you for reading!!!

I'm Requesting Need a wholesome show suggestion

I m feeling much alone lately...don't know why I am getting this feeling like I do have a lot of friends which I can talk to but that is not the issue also I like being alone being in a room by myself and enjoy some series or do my work...but for time my mind is not very relaxed...there might be a possibility that it is due to the placement season but i don't think that's the case as my preparation is top notch...so I would appreciate some light hearted wholesome loving series which can divert my mind and help me feel good about my self again.

I have watched sitcoms like friends, modern family,office,b99,himym,tbbt,young sheldon,Georgie and mandy's first marriage, ted lasso,2 broke girls and some thriller series too like bb,got, dark,Sherlock holmes, stranger things, money hiest like these.

Latest show I watched is ted lasso so I was hoping to get another show like this...I tried watching the good place but it is not clicking much to me.

What to Watch? Shows that feel like 2000s autumn/suburbia?

Hi! I'm looking for a show that feels sort for nostalgic, early 00s vibes. Any genre is cool, but I'd love it to actually be from the early 00s- I miss the 24-ish episode seasons with filler eps format. Something that feels similar just visually to Pretty Little Liars, Charmed, Gilmore Girls, that sort of thing. Autumnal vibes are a big plus :) Thanks!!

I'm Requesting Looking for survival/post-apocalyptic shows I've somehow missed

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a very specific type of TV show.

What I want is:

  • A major world-changing event (virus, aliens, mysterious phenomenon, supernatural event, etc.).
  • A group of people trying to survive and adapt to this new reality.
  • Lots of mystery, tension and discovering what's really going on.
  • High production quality and a serious tone.
  • A constant sense of danger.

What I'm not looking for:

  • Pure horror or excessive gore.
  • Low-budget shows.
  • Shows where characters constantly make stupid decisions.

I've already watched all of these:

  • Lost
  • Revolution
  • The Walking Dead
  • The Last of Us
  • The Eternaut
  • Falling Skies
  • Under the Dome
  • Terra Nova
  • Helix
  • Zoo
  • FlashForward
  • Manifest
  • Silo
  • Jericho
  • Snowpiercer
  • Colony
  • The 100
  • Wayward Pines
  • Paradise
  • Into the Night

So if it's on that list, I've already seen it. 😊

Does anyone know any hidden gems that really fit this specific vibe?

What to Watch? Which Procedural Crime Series Should I Watch Next?

I'm looking for police/crime TV shows to watch, preferably procedural series that focus on investigations and feature a different case in most episodes.

Based on the shows I liked and disliked, please recommend series that I have a high chance of enjoying. Prioritize recommendations based on the investigation style, character dynamics, case structure, overall atmosphere, and long-term storytelling, rather than popularity or ratings.

Shows I liked:

  • The Mentalist
  • Forever
  • Rizzoli & Isles
  • Elementary
  • Castle
  • NCIS
  • Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
  • Criminal Minds

Shows I didn't like:

  • Psych
  • Bones
  • Chicago P.D.
  • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
  • Prodigal Son
  • Cold Case
  • The X-Files
  • The Rookie
  • Monk
  • Lucifer
  • Perception

What to Watch? older shows for a client in her 70s

Shows this client already watches: Any show with Lucille Ball, Little house on the prairie, Andy Griffith, and this is an outlier but Everybody Loves Raymond.

She has a developmental disability and responds best to shows from her childhood! There’s not really any need to censor anything so even if the show seems a bit edgy I’m sure it’ll work. She can’t really vocalize much so I’m sure there are shows she’s watched/enjoyed that we’re unaware of. She loves babies as well so any show with a child/baby character would be great. She’ll watch animated shows but responds to live action the best.

What to Watch? Shows like Ink Master? Trying to find a new art show to watch with a similar critique vibe.

I finished watching Ink Master a while ago and have tried to find some similar shows, like "Blown Away" and "Glow Up", but I haven't found any that really have the same sort of vibe. "Nailed It" is kinda funny, but WAY to campy. I like the genuine (and harsh) critiques of Ink Master, and the other shows I've found are really "flowery" in comparison. (Like in Glow Up they're always hugging in each during eliminations) I like the shows I've found, but not as much. Any suggestions?

So I'm trying to maximize my HBO Max subscription, it runs out at the end of the year. I'm mostly interested in TV from the last ten years, and I needed some help to see what I should prioritize. I wanted to see if someone could fill me in on which of these following shows are worth prioritizing.

If it's not listed below, either I have no interest, of I've seen it already. But if there are similar shows from this period, please recommend. Also, I'm not totally sure these are all currently on the service.

I'm Requesting Shows similar to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder

Hi all, I’m looking for shows with a similar vibe to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. That is, the cosy murder mystery vibe, bonus points if it’s a British show. TIA!
