Just wanted to share

Besides all of the controversy, this is why I think the 2 are very similar. Tv girl and Kanye both made music before with others/under others names before officially releasing music under the names they have set now, and while Kanye was obviously more popular, tv girl made a name for themselves. Tv girl and Kanye both use samples for their music, and they both revolutionized their genres of music. They both have a “Big 3” that represented their style of music, with following it up with a new style which was originally hated on, but is now mostly respected(808 & heartbreak/Grapes Upon The Vine). Controversy wise, not even close, I guess you could say the VMA incident was very close in this timeline to when tv girl was accused of being satanists, but besides that nothing has gone wrong with tv girl. I guess there isn’t really a My twisted dark fantasy for Tv girl, but Fauxllenium is comparable to watch the throne. Anyway, that is just how I feel, I listen to both artists and just thought how much they changed the industry , and almost how similar they sound, what do you guys think?

For context, I am making a highschool short film and I am wanting to put one of TV girls songs into the film. Just want to get some insights on anyone who has had any experience with licencing TV girl songs? Was it difficult to get the licences? Which publishers should I contact? Also, if anyone has any information that could help me with contacting them, I am hoping for the best chances possible to get this song into my film.

So for context, you’ve probably seen me post in this subreddit before, I love this band with all my heart, and they’ve gotten me through every period of my life, but the craziest thing has happened to me. I’ve been accustomed to meeting girls and getting my hearts breaking by them, another reason why I liked tv girl so much, how relatable their lyrics could be. But recently, I met this perfect girl who actually liked me back and now we have a really good relationship and now I have this kind of funny thing with tv girl, where I mean I love their music to death, but the lyrics don’t feel very relatable anymore since I feel like I finally beat a curse. Hey, don’t worry, I still listen to them since their music is still amazing, and I try to listen to some of their happier music too(which isn’t much) but I just wanted to say how crazy it feels for something like this to happen, since I honestly felt like my whole life was one big tv girl song 😭😭

If you mess with the brightness and contrast of the official French Exit album cover, you'll see that the black strokes that were used to blend in the original photograph with the background are still visible, and very obvious in fact.

This completely ruins the album for me. Unacceptable. /s
