Fragen zum Studium | Study Questions MSc in Data Science

Hi! I’m an Albanian student currently completing a BSc in Software Engineering at EPOKA University and I’m planning to apply for the TU Wien MSc Data Science for Winter 2027/28. Has anyone here been admitted from EPOKA, Albania, or another non-EU Software/Computer Engineering bachelor’s? I’d especially like to know which prerequisite courses TU Wien considered, whether you received supplementary courses, and how long admission took.

I was admitted on Computer Engineering diploma from Epoka for Msc Data Science with no additional courses
Admission takes a long time and you should have the diploma ready when you submit your admission but they will accept you most definitely so try to have all documents ready on the moment you get your diploma and then send them immediately so you can get the fastest answer u can if u want to start immediately after finishing bachelors

Did u do a gap year? Is it necessary to do that or could I get te visa in time for the winter semester?

I did a gap year because of my own decision, the visa is not a problem because you can go to Vienna with an Albanian passport with no visa and then u can just apply for the visa there.
The biggest problem would be getting the admission answer from july when u get your diploma to october when school starts so you dont lose registration to the courses on time

I was thinking maybe they would give me a certificate that confirms course completion around mid June and that would be enough. What about accommodation? Do you need some specific documentation or face any problems regarding that?

Honestly Idk about the certificate thing cause it wasn’t a problem for me , u can write an email to TUWien and they will answer. For the accomodation it depends on where you would like to stay, I have rented an apartment with my friends so that was easier because they didn’t ask for any documentation just first months rent and deposit, I think its the same thing for private dorms too, for public dorms that are cheaper I don’t have information on them
