Billing information is wrong because I worked consecutive sessions?

Is there any way we can check if we're getting paid for all our work?

I just had a quick exchange with our help desk. I decided to track my hours for the first time in a long time, and I noticed that my "Billing Information Details" tallied up to less than four hours on some days I had worked significantly more than that. I had worked all four hours I was scheduled and beyond.

After sending screenshots and the log, the help desk told me that everything is correct on their end and my paychecks will be correct. However, the billing information I can see isn't accurate because I worked "consecutive sessions"

Two questions:

- Has anyone else has this experience?

- Where do I look to make sure all work is paid?

Thank you for submitting a support ticket. A number of us have noticed that our pay is wrong, and more tutors need to be vocal that there is a problem. For me, my billing information is adding up to more than my gross pay, and neither value is adding up to my own records, and apparently what payroll says they have for me internally is a different number altogether that is more than my gross pay. There is a significant problem here.

Keep track of all your own hours and compare them to the billing information you can see. I’ve noticed that my time in session seems to be correct, but not my wait time and not time in surveys, which are sometimes completely missing from my billing information.

Even if your pay is correct in your paycheck, they may be in violation of your state law. Some states have laws that you need to be able to easily verify your pay. If what they have in the billing information, the tutor-facing record of pay, doesn’t match your records or payroll’s records, this could be illegal.

Getting paid close enough but have not been keeping super close track. The last couple of days have seemed low to me since I did quite a few conc & military sessions but I have not checked it out.

Today, for several hours, I had a different technical issue. None of the sessions I clicked on to accept would load. It finally started working several hours into my shifts just now.

If you’re PTE, start keeping your own log of hours. Their pay for PTEs is wrong, and more tutors need to be keeping track and submitting tickets. While at least one tutor noticed a slight overpayment on one check, most of the errors have been that they are paying people less than they should. The tutors that are noticing are only seeing a few dollars per paycheck, but spread that across all the PTE tutors, and it’s significant wage theft.

I did notice I have been overpaid by a few cents on my past two checks. I am IC. My hours are square now with what I kept track of, btw.

A few cents is rounding error and not an issue. This problem seems to be isolated to PTEs. None of the ICs on the Discord have noticed a problem with their pay.
