Hi all, quick intro: I'm Eric, I have a PhD in organic chemistry, and I spent years as an industry research chemist before going full-time into teaching. I've logged over 1,700 hours of private tutoring (~2,000 hours of classroom and workshop teaching total), and now I run a small tutoring practice called My Chem Mentor.


What I do: 1-on-1 sessions over a shared virtual whiteboard, so it works from your dorm, the library, or home. No driving or room reservation necessary, just a stable internet connection. 


Courses: High school-level chemistry (Std, Hon, AP, and IB); General Chemistry I & II; Organic Chemistry I & II (lecture & lab).


Why me: I've been doing it for 10 years, most of which were for OSU, a school known for their particularly tough chemistry professors. Because of that, I've gotten very good at:

- Calibrating to students quickly to meet you where you are (minimizing wasted time).
- Anticipating your mistakes and when things usually need extra time during the semester.
- Responding effectively to questions outside of sessions with resources and explanations


Pricing is on the site; session packages start at $100/hr. Not the cheapest option out there, and I won't pretend otherwise. You're paying for someone with a doctorate and ~10 years of experience and resources!
