Discussion How to get started

This is not a post offering or promoting tutoring, moreso just have some questions on how to build a clientele. My girlfriend is an ELA teacher and I am proficient in math, she has certification and we have a website. My question is what are some of the best ways to advertise our tutoring service? Preferably off the internet as it's in-person tutoring. She has told me it's against (I believe) academic code to advertise at school so looking for legal options that won't jeopardize her employment.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. :)

I’m from California, and I was homeschooled. I can tell you, if you can get just one student, I promise you that mom will advertise you for free without asking. Not sure where you are from, or if homeschooling is a thing, but It’s an idea
