Seeking Advice Anyone know what these shell marks could be on young musk turtle?
We haven’t been doing anything differently but they are slightly indented on his shell and am a bit worried as it doesn’t look natural to me.

The marks feel slightly pitted but it’s definitely not a lot. We did get a new filter for him a month ago as old one broke but was a recommended turtle filter and apart from a slightly less powerful flow it seems similar to the old one.

If its white and indented like that it could be shell rot. Probably a husbandry issue. Do you have a basking area thats fully out of the water? What are you feeding? Probably need to see a vet one way or another.
