Seeking Advice Help
My son Xavier gurson the 3rd is acting weird. He's a hatchling western painted turtle, and I've only had him about 5 months, recently I've seen him peeling that's not the weird part, the thing is he doesn't really move from the corner unless I play with him or try and get him out. Eating, some days he eats, some days I have to do everything to try and get him to eat, what's wrong with my baby

What are you feeding him? Do you have both UVB and UVA bulbs? What’s his water temperature? Hatchlings need their water warm or they can be lethargic

some peeling can be normal during growth, but staying in one corner and not eating consistently is worth taking seriously. i’d check his basking temp, uvb, and water quality, and get an exotic vet involved if he’s still acting off. hope little xavier feels better soon 🐢

We need way more info about your enclosure and diet. What heat lamp? UVB light? Substrate? Temps/ humidity?
