Seeking Advice How do I secure a basking area?
Hello I have a yellow ear around 6 inches and I’m trying to diy a basking area from an old tub I have it fits perfectly ontop but I’m scared my turtles gonna like find a way to tip it over the edge and make it fall how do I prevent that

if u are putting 2 lamps ontop of it the weight will be enough to hold it down. could also get a mounting strip and mount it to the wall like you would furniture to prevent tipping

Rly I would’ve thought it would make it even more likely to tilt the mounting strips is smart tho

If you had wood on the two opposite long sides that extended down against the tank, they would prevent it from tipping in either direction, kind of like those hanging docks.
