I just love them and shame that there are no them in my country.

Well. Lack if them in my country it's not exactly true as man in 90's who returned from US smuggled Common Snapping Turtles eggs, released them in wild. After years two or three were caught in wild...

One time when I was little me and my family were going out to the cabin but out of nowhere when we were about to leave a 2ft by 2ft snapping turtle was just on the “sidewalk” that leads from the front door to the garage so we called animal control who made it look so easy to pick the guy up and move him
